2021–22 Lebanese FA Cup
The 2021–22 Lebanese FA Cup was the 49th edition of the national football cup competition of Lebanon. It started with the round of 16 on 16 December 2021, and ended on 11 June 2022 with the final. Lebanese Premier League side Ansar were the defending champions, having won the 2020–21 edition. They lost to cross-city rivals Nejmeh 2–1 in the final. Al Ansar FC
Al Ansar Football Club ( ar, نادي الأنصار الرياضي, lit=The Supporters Sporting Club) is a Association football, football club based in Tariq El Jdideh, a district in Beirut, Lebanon, that competes in the . Formed in 1951, the club did not win its first Lebanese Premier League until 1988. They went on to set a world record by winning the league 11 seasons in a row. Ansar is the most successful club in the country, having won the Lebanese Premier League 14 times and the Lebanese FA Cup 15 times. Ansar's major rivalry is with Nejmeh SC, Nejmeh; dubbed the Beirut derby, it is the most anticipated game in Lebanon. Bhamdoun
Bhamdoun ( ar, بحمدون), is a town in Lebanon from Beirut on the main road that leads to Damascus and in the suburbs of the main tourist city of Aley, lying at an altitude of above the Lamartine valley. Two separate villages compose the town, ''Bhamdoun-el-mhatta'' (literally meaning "Bhamdoun the station") and ''Bhamdoun-el-day'aa'' ("Bhamdoun the village"). A railroad used to link Bhamdoun to Beirut with the train station being a prominent feature of the town for many years. The station and railroad were eventually abandoned when cars became more popular. Before the Lebanese civil war, Bhamdoun was one of Lebanon's most renowned and favorite summer resorts. Today, the town has regained some of its past tourism industry as most of its hotels, restaurants and entertainment centers have been renovated or rebuilt. Hilal El-Helwe
Hilal Bassam El-Helwe ( ar, هلال بسام الحلوة, ; born 24 November 1994) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for the Lebanon national team. A versatile forward, he can play both centrally and as a winger on either flank. After playing for five years in Germany for TSV Havelse, VfL Wolfsburg II, and Hallescher FC, El-Helwe moved to Greek club Apollon Smyrnis in 2018. He returned to Germany in 2019, signing for SV Meppen, with whom he played for two years. El-Helwe then moved to Asia in 2021, playing for Al-Faisaly in Jordan, Ahed in Lebanon, and Penang in Malaysia. Born in Germany, El-Helwe made his international debut for Lebanon in 2015. Al Ahed Football Club ( ar, نادي العهد الرياضي, lit=The Covenant Sporting Club) is a football club based in Ouzai, a district in Beirut, Lebanon, that competes in the Lebanese Premier League, the top flight of Lebanese football. The club was founded in 1964 as Al Ahed Al Jadeed, starting in the Third Division, before they first reached the Lebanese Premier League for the first time in 1996. Akhaa Ahli Aley Football Club (), commonly referred to as Akhaa Ahli Aley, Akhaa Ahli or simply Akhaa, is a football club based in Aley, Lebanon, that competes in the . Khaled Mohamad Takaji ( ar, خالد محمد التكه جي; born 18 November 1986) is a Lebanese footballer and former futsal player who plays as a forward for club Safa. Club career Takaji signed for Lebanese Premier League side Nejmeh's youth sector on 4 August 2000; he was promoted to the first team ahead of the 2006–07 season. In 2008, Takaji decided to pursue a career as a futsal player, joining Pro's Cafe Beirut, with whom he played at the 2010 AFC Futsal Club Championship. He then played for Sadaka and All Sports Club at the 2011 and 2012 AFC Futsal Club Championships, respectively. On 23 August 2012, Takaji returned to Nejmeh. Mahmoud Mohamed Siblini ( ar, محمود محمد سبليني; born 15 July 1993) is a Lebanese footballer who plays as a striker for club Shabab Sahel. Starting his career at Ahli Saida in 2011, Siblini moved to Nejmeh in 2014 before being sent on a season-long loan to Tadamon Sour in 2017. Ghazi Youssef Honeine ( ar, غازي يوسف حنيني; born 12 January 1995) is a Lebanese footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Ansar. Coming through the youth system, Honeine started his senior career at Ahed in 2012. In 2015 he was sent on a three-year loan to Racing Beirut, playing over 50 games. Al Ahed Stadium ( ar, ملعب نادي العهد الرياضي) is a football field located in the Al-Ouzai area of Bourj el-Barajneh, in the southern suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon.
