2021–22 Georgia Bulldogs Basketball Team
The 2021–22 Georgia Bulldogs basketball team represented the University of Georgia during the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by fourth-year head coach Tom Crean, and played their home games at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Georgia as a member of the Southeastern Conference. The Bulldogs finished the season 6–26, 1–17 in SEC play to finish in last place. They lost to Vanderbilt in the first round of the SEC tournament. The 26 losses set the school record for most losses in a single season surpassing the previous record set by the 1951–52 team. On March 10, 2022, the school fired Tom Crean after four years as head coach. Three days later, the school named Florida coach Mike White the team's new head coach. Tom Crean (basketball)
Thomas Aaron Crean (born March 25, 1966) is a college basketball coach. Most recently, he was the head coach for the Georgia Bulldogs basketball, University of Georgia men's basketball team. Crean was previously the head coach of Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball, Indiana University. Prior to that, he served as head coach at Marquette Golden Eagles men's basketball, Marquette University (1999–2008), where his team reached the 2003 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, 2003 NCAA Final Four. Crean's basketball philosophy emphasizes fast breaks and transition offense. His guidance of the Indiana program to success from "unthinkable depths" was regarded as one of the most remarkable rebuilding projects in NCAA basketball history. 2021 SEC Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2021 Southeastern Conference men's basketball tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Southeastern Conference at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, which took place March 10–14, 2021. Seeds On November 22, 2020, Auburn announced a self-imposed, one year postseason ban due to former assistant coach Chuck Person's involvement in the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball corruption scandal. As a result, the #11 seed in the tournament was awarded a first-round bye, leaving the #12 seed–#13 seed game as the only game to be played on March 10. Teams were seeded by conference record, with a tiebreaker system used to seed teams with identical conference records. Arizona Wildcats Men's Basketball
The Arizona Wildcats men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men's basketball program representing the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. It competes in the Pac-12 Conference of NCAA Division I and is currently coached by Tommy Lloyd. Grottoes, Virginia
Grottoes is an incorporated town in Augusta and Rockingham counties in the U.S. state of Virginia. The population was 2,668 at the 2010 census. Justin Kier
Justin Kier (born May 30, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Austin Spurs of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats of the Pac-12 Conference. He also played for the George Mason Patriots and the Georgia Bulldogs. High school career Kier attended Spotswood High School. In his career, he scored 1700 points for Spotswood and earned Valley District Player of the Year honors. Kent State Golden Flashes Men's Basketball
The Kent State Golden Flashes men's basketball team represents Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, United States. The Golden Flashes compete in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level as a member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) East Division. Sahvir Wheeler (born January 17, 2001) is an American college basketball player for the Washington Huskies of the Pac-12 Conference. He previously played for the Georgia Bulldogs and Kentucky Wildcats. Early life and high school career Wheeler was born in Harlem, New York and grew up in Houston, Texas.
