2021–22 Exeter City F.C. Season
The 2021–22 season was Exeter City's 120th year in their history, and their tenth and final consecutive season in League Two. After finishing second in the League Two table, the club achieved promotion to League One for the 2022–23 season. Along with the league, the club also competed in the FA Cup, the EFL Cup and the EFL Trophy. The season covers the period from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022. Exeter () is a city in Devon, South West England. It is situated on the River Exe, approximately northeast of Plymouth and southwest of Bristol. In Roman Britain, Exeter was established as the base of Legio II Augusta under the personal command of Vespasian. Exeter became a religious centre in the Middle Ages. Exeter Cathedral, founded in the mid 11th century, became Anglican in the 16th-century English Reformation. Exeter became an affluent centre for the wool trade, although by the First World War the city was in decline. Samuel Tshiayima Nombe (born 22 October 1998) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Rotherham United. Jevani Jason Brown (born 16 October 1994) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Exeter City. Born in England, he has represented Jamaica internationally at youth level, and has been called up at the senior level. Club career Early career Brown started his career at Milton Keynes Dons and joined Peterborough United at a young age, and quickly impressed within their youth ranks. Brown became a regular for the Peterborough youth sides and was rewarded with promotion to the first-team squad ahead of the 2013–14 campaign. Tiverton, Devon
Tiverton ( ) is a town and civil parish in Devon, England, and the commercial and administrative centre of the Mid Devon district. The population in 2019 was 20,587. History Early history The town's name is conjectured to derive from "Twy-ford-ton" or "Twyverton", meaning "the town on two fords", and was historically referred to as "Twyford". The town stands at the confluence of the rivers Exe and Lowman. Human occupation in the area dates back to the Stone Age, with many flint tools found in the area. Weston-super-Mare
Weston-super-Mare, also known simply as Weston, is a seaside town in North Somerset, England. It lies by the Bristol Channel south-west of Bristol between Worlebury Hill and Bleadon Hill. It includes the suburbs of Mead Vale, Milton, Oldmixon, West Wick, Worlebury, Uphill and Worle. Its population at the 2011 census was 76,143. Since 1983, Weston has been twinned with Hildesheim in Germany. The local area has been occupied since the Iron Age.
