The 2021–22 Copa Conecta was the 1st edition of the Copa Conecta, a knockout competition for Mexican football clubs from Liga Premier and Liga TDP. The Copa Conecta is an official Mexican tournament that was created in 2021 with the aim of providing a greater opportunity for development to the football players of the Premier and TDP league teams. Club Gorilas de Juanacatlán is a football club that plays in the Liga TDP. It is based in the city of Juanacatlán. The Cimarrones de Sonora Fútbol Club is a Mexican football club that plays in the Liga de Expansión MX. The club is based in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. History The "Cimarrones de Sonora" were born in 2013, when the "Rays" of Poblado Miguel Alemán FC became the champions of the Third Division of Mexico and thus were promoted to Second División 2.
