2021–22 Colchester United F.C. Season
The 2021–22 season is Colchester United's 85th season in their history and their sixth successive season competing in League Two. Along with competing in League Two, the club also participated in the FA Cup, EFL Cup and EFL Trophy. Season overview Pre-season Colchester's place in League Two for the 2021–22 season was confirmed on 1 May 2021 in their penultimate game of the season following a 1–0 win against Salford City. On 13 May, following the close of the 2020–21 season having led the U's to safety, Mullins was named permanent head coach of Colchester United. The club announced the retained list for the 2021–22 season on 14 May. Harry Beadle, Ryan Clampin, Sam Cornish, Billy Cracknell and Tom Eastman were offered new contracts, with Ben Stevenson and Michael Folivi awaiting contract decisions or discussions. Colchester ( ) is a city in Essex, in the East of England. It had a population of 122,000 in 2011. The demonym is Colcestrian. Jevani Jason Brown (born 16 October 1994) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Exeter City. Born in England, he has represented Jamaica internationally at youth level, and has been called up at the senior level. Joshua Raymond Bohui (born 3 March 1999) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward. Bohui is a product of the Brentford and Manchester United academies and began his senior career in the Netherlands with NAC Breda. Michael Kwaku Foli Folivi (born 25 February 1998) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Enfield Town. Club career Folivi signed his first professional contract with Watford in 2015 whilst still in the club's youth system and completed his scholarship in summer 2016. Ben Edward Stevenson (born 23 March 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Portsmouth. Stevenson is a graduate of the Coventry City Academy. Thomas Michael Eastman (born 21 October 1991) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Harrogate Town on loan from club Colchester United. Eastman is a product of the Ipswich Town Academy, where he progressed through the ranks since the age of eight before making his first-team debut in 2010, a match in which he was sent off for a second bookable offence. William David Cracknell (born 19 January 2002) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for club Bishop's Stortford.
