The 2021–22 season is the 17th in the history of the Central Coast Mariners Football Club. This is the Central Coast Mariners' 17th season in the A-League. Central Coast Mariners FC
Central Coast Mariners Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in Gosford, on the Central Coast of New South Wales. It competes in the A-League Men, under licence from the Australian Professional Leagues (APL). The Mariners were founded in 2004 and are one of the eight original A-League teams. It is the first professional sports club from the Gosford region to compete in a national competition. Despite being considered one of the smallest-market clubs in the league, the Central Coast Mariners have claimed one A-League Championship from four Grand Final appearances and topped the table to win the A-League Premiership twice. The club has also appeared in the AFC Champions League five times. Lewis Miller (born 24 August 2000) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a right back for Scottish Premiership club Hibernian and the Australia national team. Jacob Farrell
Jacob Brett Farrell (born 19 November 2002) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a left back for Central Coast Mariners. Club career Central Coast Mariners Farrell signed a senior contract with Central Coast Mariners in November 2021, aged eighteen, after 6 years with the Central Coast Mariners Academy. He made his first-team debut for the Mariners in a win over Blacktown City in the 2021 FFA Cup on 13 November 2021. He made his A-League Men debut on 21 November 2021 in an F3 Derby against Newcastle Jets and scored a header in a 2–1 win. Damian Tsekenis (born 16 April 2001) is an Australian professional footballer who last played as a forward for Central Coast Mariners. He is currently serving a doping ban, from 21 March 2022 to 21 December 2024, removing him from participating in any sport that upholds the World Anti-Doping Code. Early life Tsekenis was born on 16 April 2001 in Fairfield, New South Wales to Peter and Denise Tsekenis. His father is of Greek descent and was a former footballer in the National Soccer League. Storm James Roux ( ; born 13 January 1993) is a New Zealand international footballer who plays as a right back for A-League Men club Central Coast Mariners and the New Zealand national team. Béni Nkololo (born 6 November 1996) is a French professional footballer who plays as a winger for Saudi First Division League club Al-Orobah.
