The King's Cup is Bahrain's premier knockout tournament in men's football (soccer), football. The national cup has had many different names over the years. Emir Cup (1952–59 & 1978–2002), Federation Cup (1960–77) and King's Cup (2003–present). Bahrain
Bahrain ( ; ; ar, البحرين, al-Bahrayn, locally ), officially the Kingdom of Bahrain, ' is an island country in Western Asia. It is situated on the Persian Gulf, and comprises a small archipelago made up of 50 natural islands and an additional 33 artificial islands, centered on Bahrain Island which makes up around 83 percent of the country's landmass. Bahrain is situated between Qatar and the northeastern coast of Saudi Arabia, to which it is connected by the King Fahd Causeway. Al-Shabab Club ( ar, نادي الشباب) is a Bahraini football club based in Jidhafs. They used to play in the top division of Bahraini football. They share the Bahrain National Stadium with other clubs. Manama Club
Manama Club ( ar, المنامة) is a Bahraini professional football club, founded in 1946 and based in Manama, that competes in the Bahraini Premier League, the top flight of Bahraini football. Manama Club, formally known as Al Taj, is a well-known basketball club in the Gulf and Asia. They have two Gulf Championships, and were the first-ever Bahraini club and second-ever Gulf club to come in third place in the 2000 ABC Champions Cup. Manama Club has won over 45 titles in domestic competitions. The club is not as successful in football, however they won their first two titles, the Bahraini King's Cup and Bahraini Super Cup, in 2017. 2015–16 Bahraini King's Cup
The Bahraini King's Cup is a cup competition involving teams from the Bahraini Premier League and 2nd tier. Hidd SCC are the current holders of the King's Cup, having defeated Busaiteen in extra time in last year's final. Draw The official draw took place on 24 December 2015. Preliminary round 3 teams played a knockout tie. 3 ties were played over one leg. The first match was played between Al-Shabab and Isa Town Club on 28 December 2015. The Bahraini King's Cup is a cup competition involving teams from the Bahraini Premier League and 2nd tier. The 2011 edition was once again moved and started before the regular 2011/12 domestic leagues started. First round ---- ---- Second round ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- Quarter-finals ---- ---- ---- Semi-finals 1 Al Hidd players and officials were no show against Muharraq who were declared winners 3–0. The semi-finals were scheduled to take place on Monday, but the BFA decided to have these matches played one day later. This decision was to allow the international players from the four clubs to rest after leading the national team to a 3–1 win over Saudi Arabia in the soccer tournament of the First GCC Games held on Saturday. And as a sign of rejection to BFA's decision, Al Hidd players and officials were present at the National Stadium on Monday to show their neglecting of BFA's late decision.
