2021 Asian Indoor And Martial Arts Games
The 2021 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, officially known as the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games and also known as Bangkok–Chonburi 2021, is scheduled to be a pan-Asian multi-sport event in indoor and martial arts sports held from 17 to 26 November 2023 in the Thai capital city, Bangkok and the province of Chonburi. Originally due to take place from 21 to 30 May 2021, the event was postponed in January 2021 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) officially awarded the games to Bangkok and Chonburi Province and signed the hosting rights contract in April 2020. It will be the first Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, co-hosted by two cities/provinces; the Thai capital city of Bangkok which will host the games for the third time after hosting the inaugural edition in 2005 and the martial arts edition in 2009 and the province of Chonburi, located 100 kilometres southeast of the capital. Thanwa Raseetanu
Thanwa Raseetanu (; 19 December 1970 – 7 September 2021), was a Thai Luk thung and Phleng phuea chiwit singer from the Isan area who recorded on the RS Group label. His popular songs include ''Blind Hen'' ("Kai Ta Fang", ไก่ตาฟาง), ''The rhinoceros'' ("Sib Et Ror Dor", 11 ร.ด.), ''The gold chameleon'' ("King Ga Thong", กิ้งก่าทอง), etc. Early life and music career Raseetanu was born in Si Bun Rueang District, Nongbua Lamphu Province. He had two siblings, and was the youngest son. He was educated up until primary 6. His mother died from cancer, so he worked a job for two years. His father had a new wife, so he and his siblings moved to Phetchabun Province. However, he did not get along with his father's new wife, so he eventually moved to Bangkok to pursue his career. Pong Sarasin
Pong Sarasin (Thai: พงส์ สารสิน; 16 July 1927 – 3 February 2021) was a Thai businessman and politician, who served under Major General Chatichai Choonhavan's cabinet, acting as Deputy Prime Minister along with General Tienchai Sirisumpan in 1988. Family Pong was a scion of the wealthy Sarasin family, one of Bangkok's oldest assimilated Thai-Chinese business clans. Chonburi Province
Chonburi (, , ) is a province of Thailand (''changwat'') located in eastern Thailand. Its capital is also named Chonburi. Neighbouring provinces are (clockwise from north) Chachoengsao, Chanthaburi, and Rayong, while the Bay of Bangkok is to the west. COVID-19 Pandemic In Thailand
The COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand is part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 () caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 ().
