Ayatollah Taqi Mesbah ( fa, تقی مصباح‌; born Taqi Givechi, fa, تقی گیوه‌چی), commonly known as Mohammad-Taqi Mesbah-Yazdi ( fa, محمدتقی مصباح‌ یزدی, 31 January 1935 – 1 January 2021) was an Iranian Shi'i cleric, philosopher and conservative political theorist who served as the spiritual leader of the Front of Islamic Revolution Stability. He was a member of the Assembly of Experts, the body responsible for choosing the Supreme Leader, where he headed a minority faction. Amīr Aṣlān Afshār
Amīr Aṣlān Afshār ( fa, امیراصلان افشار; 22 November 1919 – 18 February 2021) was an Iranian politician and diplomat. Early life He was a descendant of Afshar Qasemlu who ruled Kerman, during the reign of Nader Shah of the Afsharid dynasty. His father, Colonel Amir Masoud Afshar Qasemlu, served during Reza Shah's reign. He graduated from the Hindenburg-Oberrealschule Berlin-Wilmersdorf in 1939, and received his doctorate in political science from the University of Vienna in 1942. Career Afshār joined the Foreign Service in 1948. From 1950 to 1954, he was an attaché at the Iranian embassy in The Hague. From 1956 to 1960, he was a member of the National Consultative Assembly. Golnoush Khaleghi
Golnuš Xâleqi (6 January 1941 – 14 February 2021; گلنوش خالقی) was a Persian-American musician and conductor. She was the first Persian woman conductor. Xâleqi was born in Tehran and studied at the Persian National Music Conservatory, Mozarteum Salzburg and the University of Wisconsin. From 1975 to 1979 she was the conductor of National Iranian Radio & Television Choir, known as "Hamâvazân". Shortly after the 1979 Revolution she moved to the United States. In 1985 she founded Ruhollâh Xâleqi Orchestra to preserve Persian music in the United States. The orchestra's activities was halted in 1990 due to financial difficulties. Golnuš Xâleqi died in Washington, D.C., United States on 15 February 2021. She was 80. Xâleqi is survived by her husband, American organist Stephen Ackert and two sons, Râmin (David) and Julian. Mehrdad Minavand
Mehrdad Minavand ( fa, مهرداد میناوند ; 30 November 1975 – 27 January 2021) was an Iranian professional footballer and coach. He played mostly as a left midfielder but was also deployed as a left winger or left-back. Club career Minavand was born in Tehran. He played for a few clubs, including Keshavarz F.C., Persepolis FC, Sturm Graz (Austria), Sporting Charleroi (Belgium) and Al-Shabab (United Arab Emirates) as well as Sepahan. He last played for Rah Ahan FC, but left the team after the 2005–06 season. He played 21 matches in UEFA Champions League and he is all-time record holder among the Iranian footballers in this feature.
