2021 W Series Spa-Francorchamps Round
The 2021 W Series Spa-Francorchamps round was the fifth round of seven in the 2021 W Series, and took place at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium on 28 August 2021. The event was an undercard to the 2021 Formula One World Championship round at the same circuit. 2021 W Series
The 2021 W Series was the second season of the W Series motor racing championship, replacing the 2020 season after it was cancelled due of the COVID-19 pandemic. The championship was exclusively open to female racing drivers as a Formula 3-level racing series in support of the 2021 Formula One World Championship. Jamie Chadwick entered the season as the defending W Series champion, having won the title in 2019. Chadwick secured her second consecutive championship, winning the 2021 title at the season finale race, at Circuit of the Americas. Sarah Moore (racing Driver)
Sarah Moore (born 22 October 1993) is a British racing driver. She won the Ginetta Junior Championship in 2009 and competed in the InterSteps Championship in 2011. She was awarded the Rising Star status by the British Racing Drivers' Club in 2009. Moore was the first female racing driver to win a TOCA-sanctioned race, and the first to win a junior mixed-gender, national-level series in the UK. She is the first female to have won the Britcar Endurance Championship. Career Moore, born in Harrogate, competed in the Rotax Mini Max class of the Stars of Tomorrow National Championship in 2007, finishing 24th. Nerea Martí (born 2 January 2002 in Albalat dels Sorells) is a Spanish female racing driver. She currently competes in F1 Academy. Career Karting Martí began karting aged nine through her father's rental kart track. Late in her karting career, she was contracted to Fórmula de Campeones in an attempt to step up into professional racing. Bruna Alberti Tomaselli (born 18 September 1997 in Caibi) is a Brazilian female racing driver. She currently competes in the W Series. Biography Tomaselli began her professional career in Fórmula Junior Brasil, a category comparable to Formula Ford in other countries. Following two seasons there, she would move up to Fórmula 4 Sudamericana, run to Formula Renault 1.6 regulations – where she finished fourth in her second season. She moved to the United States in 2017, joining the Road to Indy through the U.S. F2000 National Championship. Miki Koyama
is a Japanese people, Japanese List of female racing drivers, female racing driver. She is currently competing in the 2022 Formula Regional Japanese Championship, 2022 season of Formula Regional Japanese Championship, where she prematurely clinched the title with three races to spare. Biography Having started racing in karts, Koyama attended the Formula Toyota Racing School before moving to Japanese F4 in 2015. Sabré Cook (born May 21, 1994 in Grand Junction, Colorado) is an American female racing driver and mechanical engineer. She has previously competed in the W Series. Biography Cook started her professional motorsport career with an invitation into the 2017 SCCA National Championship Runoffs event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, finishing ninth in the Formula Enterprise class. She would step up to American entry level formula in 2018, running partial campaigns in both U.S.F2000 and Formula 4. Her best results would be a 14th in USF2000 (at Indianapolis) and a 15th in USF4 (at the Circuit of the Americas), however she would only be classified in the former championship standings as points are only awarded to the top 10 in F4. Vittoria "Vicky" Piria (born 11 November 1993 in Milan) is an Italian-British racing driver who currently races in Formula Renault Eurocup and W Series. Caitlin Wood (born 15 January 1997 in Maitland, New South Wales) is an Australian female racing driver who last competed in the 2021 W Series. Biography Hailing from Tenambit in the New South Wales Hunter Valley, Wood began her professional motorsport career in 2013 in a state-level Formula Ford championship. Fabienne Wohlwend (born 7 November 1997 in Vaduz) is a female racing driver from Liechtenstein who competes in the W Series. Biography Formula 4 Wohlwend entered car racing in 2016, having been successful in junior karting in Liechtenstein and Switzerland. She debuted in the Italian F4 Championship with Aragón Racing, before a mid-season switch to DR Formula. Beitske Visser (born 10 March 1995) is a Dutch racing driver. She has raced in kart, single-seater, GT and prototype series.
