The 22nd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards was held on the 25th and 26th days of June, 2021 at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre in Accra to recognize the works of artists in the year under review. It was broadcast by TV3 locally in Ghana and Akwaaba Magic outside Ghana, both accessible outside Ghana via DStv and GOtv. Accra International Conference Centre
The Accra International Conference Centre is an events venue in Accra, Ghana. Kofi Kinaata
Martin King Arthur (born 15 April 1990) popularly known as Kofi Kinaata is a Ghanaian musician and songwriter from Takoradi. He is noted for his Fante rap and freestyle and therefore known as the Fante Rap God (FRG). Apart from his rap prowess, he has grown into a very good singer taking the highlife genre by storm. Early life and education Kofi Kinaata was born on the 15th of April 1990 and raised in Effiakuma, a residential town in the Western Region of Ghana. Jacqueline Acheampong (born 16 December 1999), known professionally as Gyakie, is a Ghanaian R&B and afro-fusion singer. Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, (born 14 February 1995), best known as Amerado, is a Ghanaian rapper from Kumasi. He is the curator of Yeete Nsem, Ghana's first news casting rap series. Early life and education Derrick Kantanka was born and raised in Ejisu, Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He attended KNUST Senior High School. Samuel Adu Frimpong (born 4 April 1994), popularly known as Medikal, is a Ghanaian hip hop musician born to Portia Lamptey and James Frimpong in Sowutuom, a suburb of Accra.
