2021 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup
The 2021 Mercedes-Benz UCI Mountain Bike World Cup was a series of races in Olympic Cross-Country (XCO), Cross-Country Eliminator (XCE), and Downhill (DHI). Each discipline had an Elite Men and an Elite Women category. There were also under-23 categories in the XCO and junior categories in the DHI. Mathias Flückiger
Mathias Flückiger (born 27 September 1988) is a Swiss mountain bike racer. He rode at the cross-country event at the 2016 Summer Olympics, and 2020 Summer Olympics, where he won a silver medal. His brother Lukas is also a cyclist. In 2022 he was suspended for doping. Anton Cooper
Anton Cooper (born 11 August 1994) is a New Zealand cross-country cyclist who races for the Trek Factory Racing XC Team. He is the 2015 World Under 23 Cross-country Mountain bike champion and the 2012 World Junior Cross-country Mountain bike champion. One of the two contenders for the country's 2016 Summer Olympics quota spot, he developed chronic fatigue earlier in 2016 and the nomination went to Sam Gaze instead. Cooper represented New Zealand at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, finishing sixth in the Men's Cross-country Mountain Bike final. Jenny Rissveds
Jenny Rissveds (born 6 June 1994) is a Swedish cross-country mountainbike rider. She won the gold medal in the under-23 mountainbike race at the World Championships in 2016. Born in Falun, Rissveds won the gold medal in women's cross country at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. In March 2017 Rissveds rode the eight-day Absa Cape Epic stage race in South Africa for the first time. Together with manager Thomas Frischknecht they won the Mixed category comfortably after covering the 641 km route. In July 2017, she was awarded the Victoria Scholarship. On 11 August 2019, she won her first world cup victory post-her 2016 Summer Olympics gold medal, when winning a World Cup competition in Lenzerheide in Switzerland. Ondřej Cink
Ondřej Cink (; born 7 December 1990) is a Czech cross-country mountain biker and road racing cyclist. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the Men's cross-country at Hadleigh Farm, finishing in 14th place. He finished in the same position at the 2016 Summer Olympics. In October 2016 announced that Cink would join them and switch to road racing for the 2017 season. In June 2017, he was named in the startlist for the 2017 Tour de France. Cink returned to mountain biking for the 2018 season, with Primaflor–Mondraker–Rotor. He was on the start list for the 2018 Cross-country European Championship and he finished 10th. Rebecca Henderson (born 27 September 1991), for some years competing as Rebecca McConnell, is an Australian mountain biker. Thomas Pidcock (born 30 July 1999) is a British cyclist who currently competes in the cyclo-cross, mountain bike and road bicycle racing disciplines of the sport for UCI WorldTeam . After a prodigious junior and under-23 career with World Championship victories in all three of these disciplines, Pidcock turned professional in 2021. Since then his biggest victories have been the cross-country mountain biking at the 2020 Summer Olympics, the Cyclo-cross World Championships in 2022 and the prestigious spring classic, Strade Bianche in 2023. Haley Batten
Haley Batten (born September 19, 1998) is an American cross-country and mountain bike cyclist. From Park City, Utah, Batten studied at Quest University, Canada. Batten won national titles as a junior and another at U23 level, and won a U23 World Cup, and was part of the USA team relay at the 2019 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships where they earned a silver medal in Mont-Sainte-Anne, Canada. Batten rode for the Clif Pro Team from 2016 to 2019 and Specialized Racing for 2020, and Trinity Racing in 2021. Batten rode to a third-place finish at her first elite World Cup XCO race in Albstadt, Germany. Pauline Ferrand-Prévot (born 10 February 1992) is a French multi-discipline bicycle racer, who rides for UCI Elite Mountain Bike team BMC MTB Racing in cross-country cycling. and has signed for Ineos Grenadiers for 2023.
