2021 Tour De L'Ain
The 2021 Tour de l'Ain was a men's road cycling stage race that took place from 29 to 31 July 2021 in the French department of Ain. It was the 33rd edition of the Tour de l'Ain, which was a 2.1 event on the 2021 UCI Europe Tour calendar. Teams Eight of the nineteen UCI WorldTeams, eight UCI ProTeams, three UCI Continental teams, and two national teams made up the twenty-one teams that participated in the race. With five riders, was the only team to not enter a full squad of six riders. Of the 125 riders who started the race, 104 finished. 2021 UCI Europe Tour
The 2021 UCI Europe Tour was the 17th season of the UCI Europe Tour. The season began on 24 January 2021 with the Trofeo Luis Puig, Clàssica Comunitat Valenciana 1969 – Gran Premio Valencia and ended on 24 October 2021 with the Ronde van Drenthe. Throughout the season, points were awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determined how many points are awarded to the top finishers; the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points were awarded. German Cycling Federation
The German Cycling Federation or BDR (in German: ''Bund Deutscher Radfahrer'') is the national governing body of cycle racing in Germany. The BDR is a member of the UCI and the UEC. History The BDR was first created in 1884 in Leipzig, only to be subsequently dissolved in 1933 after the Enabling Act of 1933, which legally gave Hitler dictatorial control of Germany. The ''Deutscher Radfahrer-Verband'' (DRV), a unit (Fachamt) of the Nazi Sports Body took over, until it was disbanded on May 31, 1945 for being the branch of a Nazi organization. The BDR was re-established on 21 November 1948. In East Germany the cycling section of the Deutscher Sportausschuss, the DDR's sports body, was established in 1946. An ancient Roman bronze hoard consisting of a patera and an oval dish was found in Izernore in 1845 and is now in the British Museum's collection. Georg Zimmermann (born 11 October 1997) is a German racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career He rode for in the men's team time trial event at the 2018 UCI Road World Championships. In August 2019, Zimmermann joined UCI WorldTeam as a stagiaire for the second half of the season, before joining the team permanently in 2020. Lagnieu (; frp, Lagniœ) is a commune in the Ain department in eastern France. Geography Lagnieu is located in the south of the department of Ain, on the right bank of the Rhone, 50 km northeast of Lyon and 37 km south of Bourg-en-Bresse. The town belongs to the canton of Lagnieu, of which it is the seat, and the arrondissement of Belley. Attached to the foothills of southern Jura (Bugey), it belongs to the natural region of the plain of Ain, also name of the industrial park established about ten kilometers west of the town.
