2021 Toppserien
The 2021 Toppserien was the 35th season of the highest women's football league in Norway. The season started on 22 May 2021 and ended on 13 November 2021. Sandviken won their first Toppserien title. Rosenborg were the runners-up. Format The league consists of 10 teams this season, which will play each other twice (home and away) totalling 18 matches per team. Toppserien
The Toppserien is the top level of women's association football in Norway. It was founded in 1984. History Women's league football was introduced on a county basis in 1977. These leagues acted as qualification for the regional (South) league in 1979. Regional leagues were in operation until the formation of the First Division 1984, when the league was divided into three regions, Group Eastern-Norway (''Østlandet''), Group Western-Norway (''Vestlandet''), and Group Mid-Norway (''Trøndelag''). No teams from Northern-Norway (''Nord-Norge'') played, however. The winners of the three groups met each other for a play-off. Regional leagues for women had been played before 1984, and a championship play-off had been done between the winners of Mid-Norway and Eastern-Norway in 1983 (Trondheims-Ørn beat Setskog 2-1), but this championship was considered unofficial by the Football Association of Norway. Kolbotn Fotball
Kolbotn IL Fotball is a sub-section under the sports club Kolbotn IL from Kolbotn, Norway. The club started football in 1916 and organized football as a semi-autonomous sub-section in 1960. The women's team plays in Toppserien and is one of the most successful in Norway with three league titles ( 2002, 2005 and 2006) and one cup title ( 2007). The men's team resides in the 4. divisjon (fifth tier of the Norwegian football league system), after being relegated from the 3. divisjon in 2011 and played in the 2. divisjon as late as 1993. The 2022–23 UEFA Women's Champions League is the 22nd edition of the European women's club Association football, football championship organised by UEFA, and the 14th edition since being rebranded as the UEFA Women's Champions League. Intility Arena
Intility Arena, also referred to as Vålerenga Stadion, is an association football stadium in Oslo, Norway. The stadium is the home stadium for the Vålerenga Fotball, currently playing in the Eliteserien, and it has a seating capacity of 16,555 people. Nadderud Stadion
Nadderud stadion is a multi-purpose stadium at Nadderud near Bekkestua, in Bærum, Norway. Association football It is currently used mostly for track and field meets and football matches, and is the home ground of the Norwegian Toppserien (women's) and Eliteserien (men's) team Stabæk Fotball. Former tenants are Bærum SK. Matches for the U-21 national team has also been played here. The record attendance is about 10,000, from a 1970 Norwegian Cup match where Stabæk played Strømsgodset. Ahead of the 1996 season, a new main grandstand with seating for 2,900 people was opened, costing 15 million Norwegian krone (NOK).
