2021 Thüringen Ladies Tour
The 2021 Thüringen Ladies Tour (known as the Internationale LOTTO Thüringen Ladies Tour for sponsorship reasons) was the 32nd edition of the Thüringen Ladies Tour, a women's road cycling stage race being held between 25 and 30 May 2021 in the state of Thuringia in central Germany. Given the cancellation of the 2020 edition, this edition was the first since its promotion after the 2019 season to a category 2.Pro event in the UCI Women's ProSeries. Teams Six of the nine UCI Women's WorldTeams, six UCI Women's Continental Teams, three national teams, and two elite amateur domestic teams made up the seventeen teams that participated the race. 2021 UCI Women's ProSeries
The 2021 UCI Women's ProSeries is the second season of the second-tier UCI Women's ProSeries road cycling tour, which sits below the UCI Women's World Tour but above the UCI Class 1 and Class 2 races. The 2021 season initially consisted of eight events, of which four each are one-day races ( 1.Pro) and stage races ( 2.Pro). Of these eight events, the only non-European event was the season-opening Women's Tour Down Under stage race in Australia. However, on 1 November 2020, it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving only the seven remaining European races. The other most notable event on the calendar is the Giro Rosa stage race. Schleiz is a town in the district of Saale-Orla-Kreis in Thuringia, Germany. The former municipality Crispendorf was merged into Schleiz in January 2019, and Burgk in December 2019. Lorena Wiebes
Lorena Wiebes (born 17 March 1999) is a Dutch racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . She rode for in the women's team time trial event at the 2018 UCI Road World Championships. She won the gold medal in road cycling at the 2019 European Games, beating her compatriot Marianne Vos in the sprint for the line. In May 2022, Wiebes won all three stages of the RideLondon Classique. In July 2022, she won the first stage of the Tour de France Femmes. Gera is a city in the German state of Thuringia.
