2021 Taça De Portugal Final
The 2021 Taça de Portugal Final was the last match of the 2020–21 Taça de Portugal, which decided the winner of the 81st edition of the Taça de Portugal, the premier knockout competition in Portuguese football. It was played on 23 May 2021 at the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra in Coimbra, between Braga and Benfica. It was the 38th final for Benfica in the competition's history after they won the 2017 final and lost the 2020 final, while Braga qualified for their seventh final. The two teams faced each other for the first time in the final of the Portuguese Cup. The defending champions were Porto, however, they were knocked out in the semi-finals by Braga. 2020–21 Taça De Portugal
The 2020–21 Taça de Portugal (also known as Taça de Portugal Placard for sponsorship reasons) was the 81st edition of the Taça de Portugal, the premier knockout competition in Portuguese football. A total of 165 clubs compete in this edition, including all teams from the top three tiers of the Portuguese football league system – excluding reserve or B teams, which are not eligible – and representatives of the fourth-tier District leagues and cups. The competition began on 26 September 2020 with the first-round matches involving teams from the third and fourth tiers, and concluded on 23 May 2021 with the final at the Estádio Nacional in Oeiras. Primeira Liga side Porto were the defending champions and entered the competition in the third round, but they were eliminated by eventual winners Braga in the semi-finals. Bruno Miguel Ferreira Rodrigues (born 8 June 2001) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a central defender for Primeira Liga club G.D. Chaves. Cristian Alexis Borja González (born 18 February 1993) is a Colombian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Portuguese club Braga.
