The 2021 Tallahassee Tennis Challenger was a professional tennis tournament played on green clay courts. It was the 21st edition of the tournament which was part of the 2021 ATP Challenger Tour. Green Clay Court
A clay court is one of the types of tennis court on which the sport of tennis, originally known as "lawn tennis", is played. Clay courts are made of crushed stone, brick, shale, or other unbound mineral aggregate depending on the tournament. The French Open uses clay courts, the only Grand Slam tournament to do so. Clay courts are more common in Continental Europe and Latin America than in North America, Asia-Pacific or Britain. Two main types exist: red clay, the more common variety, and green clay, also known as "rubico", which is a harder surface. Although less expensive to construct than other types of tennis courts, the maintenance costs of clay are high as the surface must be rolled to preserve flatness. Michael Mmoh ( ; born January 10, 1998) is a Saudi-born American tennis player. Mmoh has a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 82 achieved on 20 February 2023. He has won 7 ATP Challenger titles and 4 ITF Futures tournaments, including his first at the age of 16. He won the USTA junior national championship in 2016. Personal life Born in Saudi Arabia, where he lived until the age of 13, Mmoh has both Irish and Nigerian ancestry. Sekou Bangoura Jr. (born November 18, 1991) is an American professional tennis player. Bangoura partnered with Nathan Pasha to win the 2010 Kalamazoo Boys' Junior National Tennis Championship, defeating Jack Sock and Matthew Kandath 7–5, 6–3 in the finals. With their victory, Bangoura and Pasha earned a wildcard into the 2010 US Open doubles event, where they lost in the first round to Michael Kohlmann and Jarkko Nieminen 3–6, 1–6. Bjorn Fratangelo
Bjorn Fratangelo ( ; born July 19, 1993) is a professional American tennis player. He won the boys' singles title at the 2011 French Open defeating Dominic Thiem. Fratangelo is only the second American out of three to win the event, following John McEnroe in 1977 and preceding Tommy Paul in 2015. Early life Fratangelo began playing tennis at age three. and is named after tennis champion Björn Borg. His father, Mario, is his coach. Fratangelo attended St. John the Baptist School in Plum, Pennsylvania until the 8th grade when he moved to Naples, Florida for training reasons, and was an online student of Barron Collier High School. Donald Oliver Young Jr. (born July 23, 1989) is an American professional tennis player. Young had a career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 38 achieved on 27 February 2012 and doubles ranking of No. 43 achieved on 14 August 2017.
