2021 Porsche Carrera Cup France
The 2021 Porsche Carrera Cup France was the 35th season of the Porsche Carrera Cup France. The season will begin at Magny-Cours on 7 May and end at Portimao on 24 October. Races were held in France, Belgium, Italy, Spain and Portugal. This will be the first season that the new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (Type 992) will be used by all competitors. Lechner Racing, formerly known as Walter Lechner Racing is an auto racing team based in Austria. It is also known as the Lechner Racing School. Lechner Racing has established the Porsche Sprint Challenge Middle East and organizes the series as a subcontractor of Porsche AG. History Sports car racing Walter Lechner Racing competed in the Interserie in the 1990s and developed their own car in conjunction with Reynard Motorsport, the Lechner Spyder SC91. IMSA Performance (racing under the name IMSA Performance Matmut) is a French auto racing team founded by Raymond Narac. The team is based in Saint-Jean-du-Cardonnay, Upper Normandy. IMSA stands for Innovation Mécanique Service Automobile. They currently operate a Porsche 911 GT3-RSR sports car in the European Le Mans Series and International GT Open. Alessandro Ghiretti (born 18 January 2002 in Montauban) is a French racing driver and former member of the Sauber Junior Team. Early life Alessandro was born in Montauban to a family from Italian origins. His father Alain Ghiretti is an entrepreneur in metal construction.
