2021 Okolo Slovenska
The 2021 Okolo Slovenska () was the 65th edition of the Okolo Slovenska road bicycle racing, road cycling Race stage, stage race. It was held from 15 and 19 September 2021, as a category UCI race classifications#Road racing, 2.1 event on the 2021 UCI Europe Tour. Teams Seven of the nineteen UCI WorldTeams, five UCI Professional Continental, UCI ProTeams, eight UCI Continental teams, and the Slovakian national team made up the twenty-one teams that participated in the race. All but two teams entered a full squad of seven riders: entered six, while entered five. In total, 144 riders started the race, of which 105 finished. 2021 UCI Europe Tour
The 2021 UCI Europe Tour was the 17th season of the UCI Europe Tour. The season began on 24 January 2021 with the Trofeo Luis Puig, Clàssica Comunitat Valenciana 1969 – Gran Premio Valencia and ended on 24 October 2021 with the Ronde van Drenthe. Throughout the season, points were awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determined how many points are awarded to the top finishers; the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points were awarded. Považská Bystrica
Považská Bystrica (; german: Waagbistritz; hu, Vágbeszterce) is a town in northwestern Slovakia. It is located on the Váh river, around 30 km from the city of Žilina. Dolný Kubín (; also known by other names) is a town in northern Slovakia in the Žilina Region. It is the historical capital and the largest settlement of the Orava region. Spišské Podhradie (german: Kirchdrauf, hu, Szepesváralja) is a town in Spiš in the Prešov Region of Slovakia. Its population is around 4,000. Spišské Podhradie is situated at the foot of the hill of Spiš Castle. It had a Zipser German settlement, with its own church and priest, in 1174. Kaden Groves (born 23 December 1998) is an Australian cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Groves was the 2016 winner of the junior race at the Australian National Road Race Championships. In 2017, Groves finished runner-up in the prologue stage of the Tour de Kumano. He won stage 3 of the Tour of Fuzhou. In August 2019, Groves joined UCI WorldTeam as a stagiaire for the second half of the season, before joining the team permanently in 2020.
