The 2021 NCAA Division I women's soccer season was the 40th season of NCAA championship women's college soccer. Preseason Coaching changes New programs * On November 27, 2017, it was announced that, in 2020, the Tritons of the University of California, San Diego, located in the San Diego, California district of La Jolla, would begin the transition from Division II to Division I as a member of the Big West Conference. UC San Diego and the Big West canceled fall sports in 2020 and they did not play a make-up season in the spring of 2021. 2021 Florida State Seminoles Women's Soccer Team
The 2021 Florida State Seminoles women's soccer team represented Florida State University during the 2021 NCAA Division I women's soccer season. It was the 27th season of the university fielding a program. The Seminoles were led by 17th year head coach Mark Krikorian. The Seminoles finished the season 21–1–3 and 7–1–2 in ACC play to finish in second place. As the second seed in the ACC Tournament they defeated Wake Forest and Virginia to win the tournament. The win was the program's eight ACC Tournament title. The Seminoles received an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament and were awarded a number one seed. The Seminoles defeated South Alabama, SMU, Pepperdine, Michigan, and Rutgers on their way to the tournament final. Todd Bramble (born 1967) is an American soccer coach. He is currently the Deputy Athletic Director for Intercollegiate Sports at George Mason. Education Bramble received a business management degree from Mercer University in 1989. Playing career Bramble played for the Mercer Bears while earning his business management degree. He was a two time all-conference goalkeeper while playing with the Bears. Bramble spent one year playing for the Memphis Rogues of the National Professional Soccer League. Coaching career Bramble began his coaching career at Brown University where he was an assistant to Trevor Adair for the men's soccer team.
