2021 NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship
The 2021 NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship was held from May 7 through May 9, 2021 in Gulf Shores, Alabama as the final part of the 2021 NCAA Beach Volleyball season. It was the fifth edition of the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship that began in 2016. The top-seeded UCLA Bruins are back-to-back defending champions, having won in 2018 and 2019. All divisions of the NCAA are eligible to compete in the Beach Volleyball Championship, however, all teams through the 2021 Championship have been Division I members. USC won the title. Double-elimination Tournament
A double-elimination tournament is a type of elimination tournament competition in which a participant ceases to be eligible to win the tournament's championship upon having lost ''two'' games or matches. It stands in contrast to a single-elimination tournament, in which only ''one'' defeat results in elimination. One method of arranging a double-elimination tournament is to break the competitors into two sets of brackets, the ''winners' bracket'' and ''losers' bracket'' (''W'' and ''L'' brackets for short; also referred to as ''championship bracket'' and ''elimination bracket'', ''upper bracket'' and ''lower bracket'', or ''main bracket'' and ''repechage'') after the first round. The Florida State Seminoles are the athletic teams representing Florida State University located in Tallahassee, Florida. TCU Horned Frogs
The TCU Horned Frogs are the athletic teams that represent Texas Christian University. The 18 varsity teams participate in NCAA Division I and in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) for football, competing mostly in the Big 12 Conference. Big West Conference
The Big West Conference (BWC) is an American collegiate athletic conference whose member institutions participate in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. The conference was originally formed on July 1, 1969, as the Pacific Coast Athletic Association (PCAA), and in 1988 was renamed the Big West Conference. The conference stopped sponsoring college football after the 2000 season. The Coastal Collegiate Sports Association is an NCAA Division I college athletic conference. The USC Trojans are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the University of Southern California (USC), located in Los Angeles, California.
