2021 NBA Summer League
The 2021 NBA Summer League was an off-season competition held by the National Basketball Association (NBA) at the Thomas and Mack Center and Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nevada on the campus of University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The summer league consisted of the California Classic, Salt Lake City Summer League, and the Las Vegas NBA Summer League. This was the first NBA Summer League since 2019 as the 2020 NBA Summer League was cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and due to the Bubble. It began on August 8, 2021, and ended on August 17. All 30 NBA teams participated in the reboot of the summer league. Teams competed in a tournament-style schedule in four preliminary games before seeding in a tournament; each team played four games, and the best two teams played in the championship, while the rest of the teams played another game the NBA decided on. NBA Summer League
The NBA Summer League, also known as the Las Vegas Summer League, is an off-season competition organized by the National Basketball Association. NBA teams come together to try out different summer rosters instead of their regular season line-ups, including rookie, sophomore and G League affiliate players. Jeffrey Dowtin Jr. (born May 10, 1997) is an American professional basketball player for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association, on a two-way contract with the Raptors 905 of the NBA G League. Tyson Gregory Carter (born January 14, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for Unicaja Málaga of the Spanish Liga ACB, on loan from Russian club Zenit Saint Petersburg. He played college basketball for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. High school career Carter played basketball for Starkville High School in Starkville, Mississippi, where his father served as the head coach. Devontae Calvin Cacok ( ; born October 8, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for CSKA Moscow of the VTB United League. He played college basketball for the UNC Wilmington Seahawks, where in the 2017–18 season he led the nation in rebounding.
