2021 Milwaukee Brewers Season
The 2021 Milwaukee Brewers season was the 52nd season for the Brewers in Milwaukee, the 24th in the National League, and 53rd overall. On July 9, 2020, MLB announced the 2021 season schedule. On September 18, the Brewers clinched a playoff berth, extending their consecutive postseason streak to four years, a franchise record. On September 26, the Brewers clinched the National League Central division for the first time since the 2018 season. They lost to the Atlanta Braves in the 2021 National League Division Series. National League Central
The National League Central is one of Major League Baseball's six divisions. This division was created in 1994, by moving two teams from the National League West (the Cincinnati Reds and the Houston Astros) and three teams from the National League East (the Chicago Cubs, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the St. Louis Cardinals). When the division was created in 1994, the Pirates were originally supposed to stay in the East while the Atlanta Braves were to be moved to the Central from the West. However, the Braves, wanting to form a natural rivalry with the expansion Florida Marlins, requested to remain in the East. Despite the Marlins offering to go to the Central, the Pirates instead gave up their spot in the East to the Braves. Brandon Woodruff
Brandon Kyle Woodruff (born February 10, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball (MLB). Career Woodruff attended Wheeler High School in Wheeler, Mississippi and was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the fifth round of the 2011 MLB draft out of high school. He did not sign with the Rangers and attended Mississippi State University to play college baseball. In 2014, his junior season, he went 1-3 with a 6.75 ERA in 37 innings. In 2012, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
