2021 MAC Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2021 Mid-American Conference men's basketball tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Mid-American Conference (MAC). Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the entire tournament was held at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, in Cleveland, Cleveland, Ohio, from March 11-13, 2021. For the 2021 tournament, only the top eight teams qualified. The winner of the tournament received the MAC's automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, 2021 NCAA tournament. 2020–21 Ohio Bobcats men's basketball team, Ohio defeated 2020–21 Buffalo Bulls men's basketball team, Buffalo in the final. Jason Preston of Ohio was named the tournament MVP. Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse
Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse is a multi-purpose arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The building is the home of the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League (AHL). It also serves as a secondary arena for Cleveland State Vikings men's and women's basketball. Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse opened in October 1994 as part of the Gateway Sports and Entertainment Complex with adjacent Progressive Field, which opened in April of that year. 2020–21 Kent State Golden Flashes Men's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 Kent State Golden Flashes men's basketball team represented Kent State University in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Golden Flashes, led by 10th-year head coach Rob Senderoff, played their home games at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center, also known as the MAC Center, in Kent, Ohio as members of the East Division of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). It was the program's 105th season of play and 70th as a member of the MAC. Ben Vander Plas
Bennett Vander Plas (born September 19, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for BC Šiauliai of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL). He played college basketball for the Ohio Bobcats and Virginia Cavaliers. Vander Plas was the Division I Academic All-American of the Year in 2022 and 2023. High school career Vander Plas graduated from Ripon High School in Ripon, Wisconsin. Jeenathan Williams Jr. (born February 12, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Buffalo Bulls of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). Joshua Kenneth Mballa (born 29 July 1999) is a French basketball player. He played college basketball for the Ole Miss Rebels, the Texas Tech Red Raiders and Buffalo Bulls. Early life and career Mballa was born in Detroit, Michigan but raised in Bordeaux, France. He started playing competitive basketball at age eight, learning from Vincent Mbassi, a trainer at Kameet Academy who knew his uncle. The 2020–21 Northern Illinois Huskies men's basketball team represented Northern Illinois University in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season.
