2021 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Football Team
The 2021 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football team represented the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in the 2021 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Ragin' Cajuns played their home games at Cajun Field in Lafayette, Louisiana, and compete in the West Division of the Sun Belt Conference. They were led by fourth-year head coach Billy Napier. The Cajuns began the season with an away matchup against Big 12's Texas and concluded their regular season at conference and in-state rival Louisiana–Monroe. Napier was named the head coach of the Florida Gators on November 28. He announced that he would coach in the Sun Belt Championship Game on December 4 before departing. Billy Napier
William Hall Napier (born July 21, 1979) is an American football coach currently serving as head coach at the University of Florida. From 2017 until 2021, he served as head coach at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, amassing a 40–12 record in four seasons with three consecutive 10+ win seasons and two seasons finishing in the AP Poll, both firsts in the programs' history. Prior to Louisiana, he served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Arizona State University in 2017. Logansport High School
Logansport Community High School is a high school located in Logansport, Indiana, USA. The first recorded commencement took place in June 1871, at the Mesodian Opera House, with three graduates. History High School classes had first been offered in Logansport, in 1863, at the New Seminary, which was a three-story stone building built on the corner of Broadway and Thirteenth Streets in 1848–1849. The first record of a high school commencement occurred on June 1, 1871. In 1874, the Seminary was torn down with a new school, known as Central or Lincoln School, being built on the same site. This served as the high school until 1894, when the Roosevelt building, at the corner of Broadway and Seventh Streets, was used until 1913. Logansport is a town in western DeSoto Parish adjacent to the Sabine River in western Louisiana, United States. The population was 1,340 in 2020. It is part of the Shreveport–Bossier City metropolitan statistical area. History The area, long a disputed boundary even after the Louisiana Purchase, was part of a neutral territory negotiated by Gen. James Wilkinson and Lt. Col. Simón de Herrera on 6 November 1806. The Adams–Onís Treaty of 1819, that was not ratified until 1821, would have been a solution but in 1821 Mexico's independence reignited the dispute. The Kansas Jayhawks football program is the intercollegiate football program of the University of Kansas. The Appalachian State Mountaineers football team is the intercollegiate American football team representing Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. The Mountaineers have competed in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) and the Sun Belt Conference since 2014.
