2021 London EPrix
The 2021 London ePrix (formally the 2021 Heineken London E-Prix) was a pair of Formula E electric car races held in and around the ExCeL London centre in the Royal Docks area of the London borough of Newham on 24 and 25 July 2021. The circuit is designed as an indoor-outdoor venue, combining the ExCeL facilities and the surrounding public roads at the Royal Victoria Dock. It marked the twelfth and thirteenth rounds of the 2020–21 Formula E season, as well as the third running of the event, and the first since it was last held in 2016 at Battersea Park. The first race was won by Jake Dennis, with Nyck de Vries and Alex Lynn rounding out the podium. Alex Lynn took his maiden Formula E victory in the second race, finishing ahead of Nyck de Vries and Mitch Evans, as original race winner Lucas di Grassi was disqualified for failing to serve a drive-through penalty. Stoffel Vandoorne
Stoffel Vandoorne (born 26 March 1992) is a Belgian professional racing driver who is currently racing for Dragon Racing in Formula E. He had previously competed in Formula One for McLaren from 2016 to 2018. He is currently a test driver of Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 and McLaren team. He was champion of the 2015 GP2 Series and the 2021–22 Formula E World Championship. He currently resides in both Monte Carlo (Monaco) and Roeselare (Belgium). 2021 Berlin EPrix
The 2021 Berlin ePrix (formally the 2021 BMW i Berlin E-Prix presented by CBMM Niobium) was a pair of Formula E electric car races held at the Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit at Tempelhof Airport in the outskirts of Berlin on 14 and 15 August 2021. They were the fourteenth and fifteenth rounds of the 2020–21 championship, marking the series' season finale for the second consecutive year. This was the seventh iteration of the Berlin ePrix, the only event to have featured in all Formula E seasons. Similarly to 2020, race one was run on the traditional track layout, with a reversal thereof being used in race two. This however meant that the event was not a conventional double-header, instead both races were treated separately in official documents. Lucas Di Grassi
Lucas Tucci di Grassi (born 11 August 1984) is a Brazilian professional racing driver who competes in the FIA Formula E World Championship for Mahindra Racing. He became the FIA Formula E Champion in 2016–2017, achieved three overall podiums at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and won the Macau Grand Prix in 2005. Born in São Paulo, di Grassi began racing karts at the age of ten, and achieved early success in the regional and later national kart series. He progressed to car racing in 2002 and was the runner up in the Formula Renault 2.0 Brazil and Formula 3 Sudamericana championships. Di Grassi took two consecutive victories in the 2004 British Formula Three Championship and progressed to the Euro Series the following year which saw him clinch a solitary race victory and was the winner of the non-championship Macau Grand Prix. Battersea Park Street Circuit
Battersea Park Street Circuit was a motor racing circuit located in Battersea Park, London, England from 2015 to 2016. It hosted the final two races of the 2014–15 Formula E season, and also the second season. The track was in length and featured 17 turns. There was controversy over circuit's installation in a Grade II* listed park, and it was announced in 2016 that the Formula E race would not be held there again. The London ePrix is an annual race of the single-seater, electrically powered Formula E championship, held in London, United Kingdom. It was first raced in the 2014–15 season until the 2015–16 season. The event was originally meant to return for the 2019–20 season at a new location around (and through) ExCeL London before being cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event at the new location was eventually held in the following season. 2020–21 Formula E World Championship
The 2020–21 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship was the seventh season of the FIA Formula E championship, a motor racing championship for battery-electric cars recognised by motorsport's governing body, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), as the highest class of competition for electric open-wheel racing cars. With the 2020–21 season, the championship officially became a FIA World Championship, joining Formula One, the World Endurance Championship, the World Rally Championship, and the World Rallycross Championship. Royal Victoria Dock
The Royal Victoria Dock is the largest of three docks in the Royal Docks of east London, now part of the redeveloped Docklands. History Although, the structure was in place in the year 1850, it was opened in 1855, on a previously uninhabited area of the Plaistow Marshes. It was the first of the Royal Docks and the first London dock to be designed specifically to accommodate large steam ships. It was also the first to use hydraulic power to operate its machinery and the first to be connected to the national railway network, via the Eastern Counties and Thames Junction Railway section of what is now the North London line.
