2021 Limerick Senior Hurling Championship
The 2021 Limerick Senior Hurling Championship was the 127th staging of the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Limerick County Board in 1887. The draw for the group stage placings took place on 30 June 2021. The championship began on 3 September 2021 and ended on 24 October 2021. Na Piarsaigh were the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Patrickswell in the semi-final. Monaleen were relegated from the championship after being beaten in a playoff by Blackrock. The final was played on 24 October 2020 at the TUS Gaelic Grounds in Limerick, between Kilmallock and Patrickswell, in what was their first meeting in a final in 29 years. The 1992 Limerick Senior Hurling Championship was the 98th staging of the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Limerick County Board. Na Piarsaigh GAA
Na Piarsaigh are a hurling and Gaelic football club based in the north side of Cork City, Ireland. History Formation In 1943 a group of idealistic young men drawn mostly from the hurling nursery of North Mon laid the foundations of Cumann Iomana & Peile Na Piarsaigh. The group had its first formal meeting in the presbytery of the North Cathedral. The young men called upon one of their teachers, Donnacha Ó Murchú, for guidance and assistance. This led to him becoming the first ''Uachtarán'' [president] of the club, with Derry Terry serving as ''Runaí'' [secretary] and Paddy Sutton as ''Cisteoir'' [treasurer]. In choosing a name for the club the members sought one which would reflect their aims and ideals. Adare GAA
Adare GAA club is a Gaelic Athletic Association, GAA club based in Adare, County Limerick, Republic of Ireland. Adare have reached the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship, County Senior Hurling Final on 12 occasions. After losing the finals of 1968, 1986, 1990, 1993 and 1996, they finally won their first championship in 2001 and successfully defended it in 2002. Garryspillane GAA club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the parish of Knocklong/Glenbrohane, County Limerick, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. South Liberties (Irish: ''Saor Theas'') is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in County Limerick, Ireland. The club is based in the parish of Donoughmore-Knockea-Roxboro, on the southern outskirts of Limerick City and is affiliated to the East Board of Limerick GAA. Ahane GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the Ahane, Castleconnell and Montpelier areas of east County Limerick, Republic of Ireland. The club fields teams in both hurling and football and historically is regarded as one of the great clubs of Limerick. Doon GAA club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club, founded in 1888. It is based in the village of Doon in County Limerick, Ireland. The club is part of the East Division of the Limerick GAA and has a tremendous record at underage level, but has yet to win a County Senior Hurling Championship. The club only plays hurling, but footballers in the parish play with neighbouring Oola. The manager is Austin Buckley. Ballybrown GAA club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Ballybrown, County Limerick, Ireland. The club fields teams in both hurling and Gaelic football. In 2018, Ballybrown fielded teams at Senior, Junior A and Junior B in hurling, while also a team at Junior A in football. Ballybrown's biggest rivals are neighbours Patrickswell, the two clubs sharing 22 senior titles between them. The club have two pitches, located in the village of Clarina.
