2021 La Drôme Classic
The 2021 Royal Bernard Drôme Classic was the 8th edition of the Royal Bernard Drôme Classic cycle race. It was held on 28 February 2021 as a category 1.Pro race on the 2021 UCI Europe Tour and the 2021 UCI ProSeries. For the first time since 2014, the race did not start and/or finish in Livron-sur-Drôme. Instead, the race started and finished in nearby Eurre and featured five climbs, including a triple ascent of the Mur d'Eurre, the last of which summited with five kilometers left. It formed a pair of races on the same weekend with the 2021 Faun-Ardèche Classic, held on the previous day, with both races being organized by Boucles Drôme Ardèche. 2021 UCI Europe Tour
The 2021 UCI Europe Tour was the 17th season of the UCI Europe Tour. The season began on 24 January 2021 with the Trofeo Luis Puig, Clàssica Comunitat Valenciana 1969 – Gran Premio Valencia and ended on 24 October 2021 with the Ronde van Drenthe. Throughout the season, points were awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determined how many points are awarded to the top finishers; the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points were awarded. Warren Barguil (; born 28 October 1991) is a French cyclist, who rides for UCI ProTeam . He is best known for winning two mountain stages and the mountains classification of the 2017 Tour de France. Biniam Girmay Hailu (born 2 April 2000) is a professional Eritrean road cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . At the 2022 Giro d'Italia, he became the first Black African cyclist to win a Grand Tour stage after winning stage 10 in a reduced bunch sprint. Simon Clarke (born 18 July 1986) is an Australian professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He previously rode for the (2011) and (2012–2015) teams in the UCI World Tour. Before turning professional, Clarke competed in track cycling as an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder.
