2021 Kashmir Premier League (Pakistan)
The 2021 Kashmir Premier League (also known as 2021 KPL or, for sponsorship reasons, SRG KPL 2021), was the inaugural season of the Kashmir Premier League which was established by the Pakistan Cricket Board. The tournament featured six teams and was held from 6 August 2021 to 17 August 2021 in Muzaffarabad, Pakistan. The opening ceremony and first match of the tournament were held at the Muzaffarabad Stadium on 6 August 2021. The final was held on 17 August and saw Rawalakot Hawks defeating Muzaffarabad Tigers by 8 runs to win the first title. Asif Afridi of Rawalakot Hawks was awarded the man of the match award for his bowling figures of 3/21. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is a sports governing body for cricket in Pakistan responsible for controlling and organising all tours and matches undertaken by the Pakistan national cricket team. A member of the International Cricket Council since 1952, it represents the country's men's and women's national teams in international cricket tournaments played under the ICC. Following the establishment of Pakistan as an independent dominion of the British Empire in 1947, professional and amateur cricket commenced in the same year, seeing as local infrastructure had already been established when the country was part of the British Raj. Cricket matches were arranged informally until 1948, when a Board of Control was formally instituted. Asif Afridi
Asif Afridi (born 25 December 1986) is a Pakistani first-class cricketer. He was banned to play cricket in Pakistan for two years, of which one year was suspended. Career Afridi was played in 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and was the leading wicket-taker for Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), with 30 dismissals in seven matches. He was also the leading wicket-taker for FATA in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, with thirty dismissals in seven matches. In January 2021, Afridi was named in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's squad for the 2020–21 Pakistan Cup. Pakistani Cricket Team In The West Indies In 2021
The Pakistan cricket team toured the West Indies in July and August 2021 to play two Tests and four Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The Test series was part of the 2021–2023 ICC World Test Championship. The fixtures for the tour were confirmed by Cricket West Indies in May 2021. The T20I series was originally scheduled for five matches. However, this was changed to four T20Is, following the rescheduled One Day International (ODI) fixtures in the West Indies' series against Australia. The T20I series was heavily impacted by rain, with three of the four matches washed out and ending in no results. Shadab Khan (Urdu, Punjabi: شاداب خان) is a Pakistani international cricketer who plays for and vice-captains the Pakistan cricket team in limited overs cricket. He captains Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), and Northern in domestic cricket. An all-rounder, Khan is Pakistan's most successful T20I bowler. Shan Masood (Urdu, Punjabi: شان مسعود; born 14 October 1989) is a Pakistani international cricketer. He plays for Yorkshire County Cricket Club, and the Multan Sultans in domestic cricket. He is a left-handed batter and an occasional right-arm medium-fast bowler. Rawalakot ( ur, ) is the capital of Poonch district in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. It is located in the Pir Panjal Range. History Along with Pallandri, Rawalakot was the focal point of the 1955 Poonch uprising. Kotli ( ur}) is a city in Kotli District of Azad Kashmir in Pakistan. Bagh, Azad Kashmir
Bagh City ( ur, ) is the chief town and district headquarters of Bagh District, in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. The town is situated on the confluence of two nullahs (streams), Malwani and Mahl (ماہلوانی اور ماہل) at the distance of 93 km from Muzaffarabad. 2005 earthquake On 8 October 2005, Bagh was hit by a devastating earthquake that killed 8,500 people, which represented 10% of the population. Most of the victims were children attending school who died when the school buildings collapsed.
