2021 Grote Prijs Jef Scherens
The 2021 Grote Prijs Jef Scherens was the 54th edition of the Grote Prijs Jef Scherens road cycling one day race in and around Leuven. It was held on 15 August 2021 as a 1.1 categorised race and was part of the 2021 UCI Europe Tour and the 2021 Belgian Road Cycling Cup. The race course overlaps to a large part with that of the 2021 UCI Road World Championships, which are to be held a few weeks later. The defending champion is sprinter Niccolò Bonifazio, who won the 2019 edition as no race was held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Belgium. 2021 UCI Europe Tour
The 2021 UCI Europe Tour was the 17th season of the UCI Europe Tour. The season began on 24 January 2021 with the Trofeo Luis Puig, Clàssica Comunitat Valenciana 1969 – Gran Premio Valencia and ended on 24 October 2021 with the Ronde van Drenthe. Throughout the season, points were awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determined how many points are awarded to the top finishers; the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points were awarded. Bryan Coquard
Bryan Coquard (born 25 April 1992) is a French cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He was a silver medalist at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Omnium. Career Youth and amateur career Coquard began cycling in 1999 at the age of seven, at the US Pontchâteau club. In September 2008, aged sixteen, he joined CREPS Bordeaux, where he was coached by Éric Vermeulen. In 2009, Coquard won the gold medal in the omnium at the UCI Juniors World Championships, as well as winning the scratch at the European championships. He retained his Junior Omnium crown in 2010, winning four of the six events, he also finished second in the Scratch Race.
