2021 EuroLeague Playoffs
The 2021 EuroLeague Playoffs, known as the 2021 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs for sponsorship purposes, was the first postseason portion of the 2020–21 EuroLeague basketball competition. They began on 20 April 2021 and were scheduled to be played through 5 May 2022. The top eight finishers in the regular season qualified for the playoffs, which consists of four series of two teams each, played in a best-of-five format. The winners of each of the playoffs series advanced to the Final Four, which determined the EuroLeague champion for the 2020–21 season. Format In the playoffs, series are best-of-five, so the first team to win three games wins the series. A 2–2–1 format will be used – the team with home-court advantage will play games 1, 2 and 5 at home while their opponents will host games 3 and 4. Games 4 and 5 will only be played when necessary. 2020–21 EuroLeague
The 2020–21 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague was the 21st season of the modern era of the EuroLeague and the 11th under the title Sponsor (commercial), sponsorship of Turkish Airlines. Including the competition's previous incarnation as the FIBA Europe Champions Cup, this was the 64th season of the premier basketball competition for European men's clubs. The season started 1 October 2020. As the season was the first to be played after the 2019–20 EuroLeague, previous season was abandoned due to travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the EuroLeague board ruled that the 18 teams from the previous season would stay in the league. Nick Calathes
Nicholas William Calathes (Greek: Νικόλαος Γουίλιαμ "Νικ" Καλάθης, born February 7, 1989) is a Greek-American professional basketball player for Fenerbahçe Beko of the Turkish Basketball Super League (BSL) and the EuroLeague. He played college basketball for the Florida Gators. An All-EuroLeague First Team selection in 2018 and 2019, Calathes has also played in the NBA, the Greek Basket League and the VTB United League. Tarik Bernard Black (; born November 22, 1991) is an American professional basketball player for Olympiacos of the Greek Basket League and the EuroLeague. Kevin Joseph Pangos (born January 26, 1993) is a Canadian-Slovenian professional basketball player for Olimpia Milano of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) and the EuroLeague.
