2021 Dalian Professional F.C. Season
The 2021 Dalian Professional F.C. season was the 12th season in club history. The team relegated to China League One once again after this season. Overview Preseason Dalian Pro regrouped on 18 January for winter training at the team base. The original training plan was to train in Guangzhou, but could not be carried on as the manager yet decided to return. The 2021 CSL saw growing pressure from three aspects. Firstly, strong COVID-prevention policies remained active, that foreign players and staff had to follow quarantine rules when entering or re-entering the border, and that teams would be concentrated into one or more cities for an enclosed, COVID-safe league. Secondly, teams participating the 2021 CSL must have neutral club names, which resulted in far less sponsorship income. Strict salary limitation was also adopted in this season. Dalian () is a major sub-provincial port city in Liaoning province, People's Republic of China, and is Liaoning's second largest city (after the provincial capital Shenyang) and the third-most populous city of Northeast China. Zhang Chong (; born November 25, 1987) is a Chinese professional footballer who last played as a goalkeeper for Dalian Pro. Club career At the beginning of the 2005 Chinese Super League season Zhang Chong would break into the senior team of Dalian Shide F.C. after graduating from their youth team. He would, however have to wait until the 2009 Chinese Super League season before he made his senior debut appearance for Dalian against Qingdao Jonoon on October 31, 2009 in the last game of the season in a 3-1 defeat. Wang Yaopeng (; born 18 January 1995) is a Chinese footballer who currently plays for Chinese Super League side Dalian Professional. Club career Wang Yaopeng started his professional football career in 2013 when he was loaned to China League Two side Liaoning Youth for the 2013 China League Two. He was promoted to Chinese Super League side Dalian Aerbin (now known as Dalian Professional) by manager Ma Lin in 2014. Sun Guowen (; born 30 September 1993 in Dalian, Liaoning) is a Chinese footballer who currently plays for Dalian Professional in the Chinese Super League. Club career Sun started his professional football career in 2011 when he was promoted to Chinese Super League side Dalian Shide. On 6 May 2012, he made his senior debut for Dalian in a 4–1 home victory against Tianjin Teda, coming on as a substitute for James Chamanga in the 87th minute. Li Shuai (; born 18 June 1995) is a Chinese professional footballer who currently plays as a left-back for Chinese Super League club Shanghai Port and the China national team. Club career Li Shuai would play for the Changchun Yatai youth team before continuing with his development with Portuguese club Mafra. On 5 January 2016 he would return back to China to join China League One side Dalian Yifang (now known as Dalian Professional). Shan Pengfei (; born 7 May 1993) is a Chinese footballer who currently plays for Guangxi Pingguo Haliao in the China League One. Club career Shan joined Dalian Aerbin youth team system (now known as Dalian Professional) from Dalian Yiteng in January 2012 and was promoted to the first team squad by Aleksandar Stanojević in June 2010. Wang Jinshuai (; born 9 January 2001) is a Chinese footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Chinese Super League side Henan FC.
