2021 Copa Libertadores Group Stage
The 2021 Copa Libertadores group stage was played from 20 April to 27 May 2021. A total of 32 teams competed in the group stage to decide the 16 places in the final stages of the 2021 Copa Libertadores. Draw The draw for the group stage was held on 9 April 2021, 12:00 PYT ( UTC−4), at the CONMEBOL Convention Centre in Luque, Paraguay. Teams were seeded by their ''CONMEBOL Clubs ranking'' as of 1 February 2021 (shown in parentheses), taking into account the following three factors: #Performance in the last 10 years, taking into account Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana results in the period 2011–2020. #Historical coefficient, taking into account Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana results in the period 1960–2010 and 2002–2010 respectively. #Local tournament champion, with bonus points awarded to domestic league champions of the last 10 years. 2021 Copa Libertadores Final Stages
The 2021 Copa Libertadores final stages were played from 13 July to 27 November 2021. A total of 16 teams competed in the final stages to decide the champions of the 2021 Copa Libertadores, with the final played in Montevideo, Uruguay at Estadio Centenario. Qualified teams The winners and runners-up of each of the eight groups in the group stage advanced to the round of 16. Seeding Starting from the round of 16, the teams are seeded according to their results in the group stage, with the group winners (Pot 1) seeded 1–8, and the group runners-up (Pot 2) seeded 9–16. Format Starting from the round of 16, the teams play a single-elimination tournament with the following rules: *In the round of 16, quarter-finals and semi-finals, each tie is played on a home-and-away two-legged basis, with the higher-seeded team hosting the second leg (Regulations Article 2.2.3.2). Club Always Ready
Club Always Ready, better known as Always Ready, is a Bolivian football club from La Paz which plays its home games in nearby El Alto. Due to the jerseys the team is also known as ''Banda Roja'', or the red band. History Club Always Ready was founded on 13 April 1933. The team took part in the La Paz championship, which was held in 1950 under semi-professional conditions; it was organized by La Paz Football Association (LPFA). Unión La Calera is a Chilean football club based in La Calera and competes the Primera División de Chile. It was founded as Club de Deportes La Calera on 26 January 1954, after the merger of three teams from the city: ''Condor'', ''Calera Comercio'' and ''Tifón''. The following year, Deportes La Calera joined ''Club de Deportes Melón'' (originated by the merger between Cemento Melón and Minas NavÃo) to form Unión La Calera.
