2021 CS Autumn Classic International
The 2021 CS Autumn Classic International was held on September 16–18, 2021 in Pierrefonds, Quebec. It was part of the 2021–22 ISU Challenger Series. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pairs, and ice dance; the men's event was not considered as part of the Challenger due to the entry requirements not being met. Entries The International Skating Union published the list of entries on August 24, 2021. The pairs segment was added on September 1, 2021. ISU Challenger Series
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Each event consists of at least three disciplines out of four ( men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing), and is required to take place between August 1 and December 15. The ISU Challenger Series Synchronized Skating is a separate competition series in the discipline of synchronized skating. History The ISU Council decided to create the series at its February 2014 meeting. Eleven competitions were selected in June 2014. The Triglav Trophy dropped out by October 10, 2014, resulting in a series composed of ten events. Gabrielle Daleman (born January 13, 1998) is a Canadian figure skater. She is a 2018 Olympic gold medalist in the team event, the 2017 World bronze medalist, 2017 Four Continents silver medalist, 2014 CS Autumn Classic champion, and two-time Canadian national champion. She represented Canada at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. Emily Bausback (born July 24, 2002) is a Canadian retired figure skater. She is the 2020 Canadian national champion. Career Bausback began learning to skate in 2005. She trains at the Champs International Skating Centre of BC at Scotia Barn in Burnaby, British Columbia, coached by Joanne McLeod. Bausback debuted on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series in September 2016. 2019–20 season Commencing her fourth season on the Junior Grand Prix, Bausback placed sixth at JGP United States in Lake Placid. Nam Nguyen (born May 20, 1998) is a Canadian retired competitive figure skater. He is the 2014 World Junior champion, 2019 Skate Canada silver medallist, and two-time Canadian national champion (2015, 2019). He has placed as high as fifth at the World Championships, in 2015.
