2021 Arkansas State Red Wolves Football Team
The 2021 Arkansas State Red Wolves football team represented Arkansas State University in the 2021 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Red Wolves played their home games at Centennial Bank Stadium in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and competed in the West Division of the Sun Belt Conference. Prior to the season, Arkansas State hired Butch Jones as head coach after Blake Anderson departed for Utah State. The team announced Rob Harley as their new defensive coordinator shortly after Jones' arrival. Previous season The Red Wolves finished the 2020 season with a 4–7 record (2–6 in conference), finishing third in the Sun Belt West Division. Arkansas State was not invited to any postseason competition for the first time in over ten years. Lyle Allen "Butch" Jones Jr. (born January 17, 1968) is an American football coach who is currently the head coach at Arkansas State University. Jones previously served as a special assistant to the head coach and offensive analyst at the University of Alabama from 2018 to 2020, the head coach at the University of Tennessee from 2013 to 2017, the University of Cincinnati from 2010 to 2012 and Central Michigan University from 2007 to 2009. Creekside High School is a public high school serving grades nine through twelve. It is located in Fairburn, Georgia, United States. It is a part of the Fulton County School System. The school opened in the fall of 1990 as a result of the merger of Campbell High School in Fairburn, and Palmetto High School in Palmetto.
