The 2021 All-SEC football team consists of American football players selected to the All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) chosen by the ''Associated Press'' (AP) and the conference coaches for the 2021 Southeastern Conference football season. Alabama won the conference, beating Georgia 41–24 in the SEC Championship. Alabama quarterback Bryce Young was voted the conference's Offensive Player of the Year (AP and Coaches). Alabama outside linebacker Will Anderson Jr. was voted the Defensive Player of the Year (AP and Coaches). Alabama wide receiver Jameson Williams and Tennessee wide receiver Velus Jones Jr. shared SEC Special Teams Player of the Year honors (Coaches). The 2021 Southeastern Conference football season was the 89th season of Southeastern Conference (SEC) football, taking place during the 2021 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The season began on September 2, 2021, and ended with the 2021 SEC Championship Game on December 4, 2021. The SEC is a Power Five conference under the College Football Playoff. The season schedule was released on January 27, 2021. Previous season Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 NCAA Division I FBS football season, 2020 college football season was delayed. On July 31, the Southeastern Conference announced that its teams would play a ten-game conference-only season beginning in late September. Also because of the COVID-19 pandemic attendance at all college football games during the 2020 season was restricted because of COVID-19 social distancing considerations. Brock Bowers
Brock Allen Bowers (born December 13, 2002) is an American football tight end for the Georgia Bulldogs. Bowers had a decorated high school career at Napa High School in Napa, California and was named to the All-American Bowl as a senior. A four star prospect coming out of high school, he was heavily recruited by major college programs, ultimately deciding to play at the University of Georgia under head coach Kirby Smart. Bowers made an immediate impact in his first season with the Bulldogs, setting a program record for single-season receiving touchdowns and being named the 2021 SEC Freshman of the Year. Darian Kinnard
Darian Kinnard (born December 29, 1999) is an American football offensive tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Kentucky. Early life and high school Kinnard was born in Youngstown, Ohio, and grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, and then Kingsport, Tennessee, where he attended Dobyns-Bennett High School. He moved to Cleveland, Ohio, after his freshman year and enrolled at Saint Ignatius High School. Kinnard played in the 2018 All-American Bowl. Kinnard committed to play college football at Kentucky over offers from Penn State, UCLA and Tennessee. College career Kinnard played in nine games and started two games as a true freshman. Kenyon Green (born March 15, 2001) is an American football guard for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Texas A&M, where he was a two-time consensus All-American. Green was drafted by the Texans in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Early life and high school Green grew up in Humble, Texas and attended Atascocita High School. Green was rated a five-star recruit and originally committed to play college football at LSU during his sophomore year before decommitting as a junior and choosing to enroll at Texas A&M. Charles Ellis Cross (born November 25, 2000) is an American football offensive tackle for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Mississippi State and was selected ninth overall by the Seahawks in the 2022 NFL Draft. Early life and high school Cross was born on November 25, 2000, and grew up in Laurel, Mississippi, where he attended Laurel High School. Cross initially committed to play college football at Florida State. Cross decommitted from Florida State during his senior season in favor of signing with Mississippi State.
