2020–21 Providence Friars Men's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 Providence Friars men's basketball team represented Providence College during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by tenth-year head coach Ed Cooley, and played their home games at Alumni Hall in Providence, Rhode Island as a member of the Big East Conference. They finished the season 13-13, 9-10 in Big East Play to finish in 6th place. They lost in the first round of the Big East tournament to DePaul. Ed Cooley
Ed Cooley (born September 10, 1969) is an American college basketball coach and the current head coach of the Providence College Friars men's basketball team. Cooley held the same position at Fairfield University from 2006 to 2011. He received the inaugural 2010 Ben Jobe National Coach of the Year Award, presented annually to the top minority men's college basketball coach in the nation. Early years Cooley was born on September 10, 1969 in Providence, Rhode Island to Jane Cooley and Edward Smith. He was one of nine children by his mother in a family on welfare, living in the low-income South Providence neighborhood. However, he would later be taken in by neighbors Gloria and Eddie Searight, who provided Cooley with meals and a place to sleep. North Florida Ospreys Men's Basketball
The North Florida Ospreys represent the University of North Florida (UNF) in men's college basketball. The Ospreys compete in the ASUN Conference (A-Sun) in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). They play home games at UNF Arena on the school's campus in Jacksonville. The program was founded in 1992 in the NAIA. They entered NCAA Division II the following season. The Ospreys transitioned into NCAA Division I from 2005 to 2009. Melbourne High School or Mel-Hi is a public secondary school located in Melbourne, Florida, United States and operated by Brevard Public Schools. History The original high school was built on New Haven Avenue in 1919. It is now the Henegar Center. In 1948, the old Eau Gallie High School on Pineapple Avenue closed. Their former students were bused to Melbourne High. Rotary International chartered their first Interact service club ever with 23 students at the school in 1960. Sanford School
The Sanford School is a private school for co-ed students in PreK through high school, located in Hockessin, Delaware. Originally known as "Sunny Hills School", it was founded on September 23, 1930, by Sanford and Ellen Sawin, in memory of their eldest son Sanford Sawin, Jr. The school's name was changed to Sanford in 1966, 50 years after his death.
