2020–21 Premier 15s
The 2020–21 Premier 15s is the 4th season of the Premier 15s (22nd including editions of the previous Women's Premiership), of the top flight of English domestic women's rugby union competition and the first to be sponsored by Allianz. Teams Rule Changes To reduce covid infection risk and close contact, several laws were introduced to reduce the number of scrums. These variations were reviewed after nine rounds and subsequently remained in place until the end of the season. These were: *Free kicks are awarded in place of a scrum for a knock-on or forward pass *Removal of the option for a scrum at a free kick or penalty *Scrums advantages were shortened *In a maul, the ball must be played at the first time of asking if the maul halts *A maul can only be formed from a lineout if it takes place within the 22 metre areas *No players who were not in the lineout may join the maul *Game time is reduced to 35 minutes per half *Water breaks at the mid points of each half (players had ... Harlequins Women
Harlequins Women, formerly known as Harlequins Ladies, are a women's rugby union club based in Guildford, Surrey, England and in Twickenham, Middlesex, England. They were founded in 1995 as the women's team of Harlequin F.C. and rebranded in 2017 after merging with Aylesford Bulls. In 2017, they were selected as one of the franchises for the new Premier 15s league, but they also cater for new, aspiring and social players within their 3rd XV squad. History Beginnings Harlequins Ladies were founded in 1995 as the women's team of Harlequin F.C. Rob Vickers
Rob Vickers (born 2 November 1981 in Yorkshire, England) is a former rugby union player. He represented Newcastle Falcons in the Aviva Premiership, playing as a hooker. Gloucester-Hartpury Women
Gloucester-Hartpury Women's Rugby Football Club is a women's rugby union club based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England. They are the unified women's team of Gloucester Rugby and Hartpury University R.F.C. They were founded in 2014 and as of 2017, play in the Premier 15s. History In 2014, Gloucester and Hartpury College came together to found a women's team to be run under the jurisdiction of Gloucester Rugby to capitalise upon the popularity of women's rugby in the area. Hartpury College already had a women's team competing in the British Universities and Colleges Sport rugby union leagues. In their first year, Gloucester-Hartpury Women only played friendly matches, some of which were at Gloucester Rugby's home ground Kingsholm Stadium, whilst the Rugby Football Union decided which league to place them in. Exeter
Exeter () is a city in Devon, South West England. It is situated on the River Exe, approximately northeast of Plymouth and southwest of Bristol. Sandy Park
Sandy Park is a rugby union stadium and conference and banqueting centre in Exeter, England. It is the home ground of Exeter Chiefs, who from the 2010–11 season have been playing in the Gallagher Premiership, the top flight of the English rugby union league system. The club relocated there from their former stadium at the County Ground in 2006. The stadium can hold 15,600 spectators and is located adjacent to M5 junction 30, which is around 5 miles from Exeter City Centre. Sandy Park played host to the England Saxons vs Ireland Wolfhounds on 28 January 2012; the England Saxons won 23–17. Samurai Sportswear
were the hereditary military nobility and officer caste of medieval and early-modern Japan from the late 12th century until their abolition in 1876.
