2020–21 Oregon Ducks Men's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 Oregon Ducks men's basketball team represented the University of Oregon during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Ducks, led by 11th-year head coach Dana Altman, played their home games at Matthew Knight Arena as members of the Pac–12 Conference. They finished the season 21-7, 14-4 in Pac-12 Play to finish as regular season champions. They defeated Arizona State in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 tournament before losing in the semifinals to Oregon State. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament where they advanced to the Second Round due to a positive COVID-19 test from VCU. They defeated Iowa in the second round to advance to the Sweet Sixteen where they lost to USC. Dana Altman
Dana Dean Altman (born June 16, 1958) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach of the Oregon Ducks men's team. Previously he was head coach at Creighton, Kansas State and Marshall. Altman has won conference coach of the year awards at each school he has coached, and has led his teams to 15 appearances in the NCAA tournament. College education Dana Altman began playing college basketball at Fairbury Junior College (now Southeast Community College) in Fairbury, Nebraska. He earned an associate degree in business administration there in 1978. He then received his undergraduate degree in the same field at Eastern New Mexico University in 1980. The 2020 Pac-12 Conference men's basketball tournament was a postseason men's basketball tournament for the Pac-12 Conference, scheduled to be played March 11–14, 2020, at T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It was canceled after the first round due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The winner of the tournament was to have received the conference's automatic bid to the 2020 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, 2020 NCAA tournament. The NCAA announced on March 11, 2020 that no fans would be able to attend the Men's and Women's 2020 NCAA tournaments, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Anthony Mathis
Anthony Mathis (born November 23, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for Uppsala Basket of the Swedish Basketball League (SBL). He played college basketball for New Mexico and Oregon. Early life and high school career Mathis attended West Linn High School alongside Payton Pritchard. He helped win three 6A state basketball titles. As a junior, Mathis was named to the Class 6A first-team all-state.
