2020–21 Olympiacos F.C. Season
The 2020–21 season was the 96th season in existence of Olympiacos and the club's 62nd consecutive season in the top flight of Greek football. The season was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and all Olympiacos' games were played behind closed doors. Olympiacos participated in the Greek Super League winning their 46th title, finishing 26 points ahead of PAOK who came second. Domestically the team participated in the Greek Football Cup as well. They reached the final where they lost to PAOK. Olympiacos qualified also for the UEFA Champions League group stage for a second consecutive season but failed to qualify to the knock-out phase. Having finished third in their group, they were then transferred to UEFA Europa League knockout phase. The season covers the period from 20 August 2020 to 22 May 2021. Rúben Semedo
Rúben Afonso Borges Semedo (born 4 April 1994) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a central defender or a defensive midfielder for Qatari club Al-Duhail and the Portugal national team. Developed at Sporting CP, he went to on to serve two loans then make 48 competitive appearances for its first team. Konstantinos Tzolakis ( el, Κωνσταντίνος Τζολάκης; born 8 November 2002) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Super League club Olympiacos. Career Tzolakis made his senior debut in 2019, at the Cup semi-final against PAOK in which he played the whole game but he conceded 3 goals as Olympiacos lost 3–2. Nafplio ( ell, Ναύπλιο) is a coastal city located in the Peloponnese in Greece and it is the capital of the regional unit of Argolis and an important touristic destination. Ilias Karargyris ( el, Ηλίας Καραργύρης; born 29 June 2002) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Super League 2 club Proodeftiki. Career Karargyris made his professional debut for Olympiacos in the 2019/20 season against OFI, playing barely 3 minutes after getting subbed on in the place of Bobby Allain but still conceding only 2 minutes later. Ögmundur Kristinsson (born 19 June 1989) is an Icelandic professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Greek Super League club Olympiacos and the Iceland national team.
