2020–21 Monmouth Hawks Men's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 Monmouth Hawks men's basketball team represented Monmouth University in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Hawks, led by tenth-year head coach King Rice, played their home games at OceanFirst Bank Center in West Long Branch, New Jersey as members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They finished the season 12–8, 12–6 in MAAC play to finish in a tie for first place. As the No. 2 seed in the MAAC tournament, they lost in the quarterfinals to No. 7 seed Fairfield 60–79. Previous season The Hawks finished the 2019–20 season 18–13 overall, 12–8 in MAAC play to finish in a tie for third place. King Rice
King David Rice (born December 14, 1968) is an American basketball coach and former player. He is the head men's basketball coach at Monmouth University. Rice replaced Dave Calloway as head coach of the Hawks on March 29, 2011. Previously, Rice was also the head coach of the Bahamas national basketball team from 2001 to 2004. He is a native of Binghamton, New York, where he attended Binghamton High School from 1983 to 1987, and helped lead the basketball team to two state championships. He then starred at the University of North Carolina before becoming a coach. Massanutten Military Academy (MMA) is a coeducational military school for grades 5 through 12 and one academic postgraduate year, located in Woodstock, Virginia, United States. History The Massanutten Military Academy, named for the nearby mountain, was established by the Virginia Classis of the Reformed Church in 1899. Gould Academy is a private, co-ed, college preparatory boarding and day school founded in 1836 and located in the small town of Bethel, Maine, United States. History In 1835 citizens of Bethel, Maine, formed an organization as trustees of the Bethel High School. A hall was fitted up for a schoolroom, and N. T. True was employed as principal. Encouraged by their success, the trustees reorganized and obtained a charter for an Academy, which by act of the Legislature on January 27, 1836, was incorporated as Bethel Academy. The Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team represents the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in NCAA Division I men's competition. On March 30, 2022, Dan Earl was hired as the new head coach.
