2020–21 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team represented the University of Louisiana at Lafayette during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Ragin' Cajuns, led by ninth-year head coach Garry Brodhead, played all home games at the Cajundome along with the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team. They were members of the Sun Belt Conference. For the first time ever, the Cajuns women’s basketball team captured the West Division championship as well as the Regular Season championship. Following their loss in the finals of the Conference tournament, the Cajuns were one of nine automatic bids to the WNIT. Previous season The Ragin' Cajuns finished the 2019–20 season 19-12, 10–8 in Sun Belt play to finish in fourth place in the conference. Garry Brodhead
Garry Brodhead (born August 27, 1957) is the coach of the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team since 2012. Before joining the University of Louisiana at Lafayette team, Brodhead worked as a farmer between 1978 and 1997. For his basketball career, Brodhead was the girls coach at Teurlings Catholic High School from 1997 to 2007. While accumulating 297 wins and 78 losses, his team won the 3A division of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association tournament in 2002. Brodhead also co-founded the Acadiana Stars girls basketball team in 1987 and the Girls World Biddy Basketball League by the mid-1990s. For his college basketball career, Brodhead held multiple positions for the McNeese State Cowgirls basketball team from 2007 to 2012. With the Cajuns, Brodhead and his team won the Women's Basketball Invitational in 2015 and 2016. Nicholls Colonels Women's Basketball
The Nicholls Colonels women's basketball team represents Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Southland Conference, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. Nicholls' first women's basketball team was fielded in 1974–1975. The team plays its home games at 3,800-seat Stopher Gymnasium and are coached by DoBee Plaisance. A.M. Barbe High School is a 5A public high school located in Lake Charles, Louisiana, United States. The correct pronunciation of the school's name is "barb", rather than "bar-bay" or "barb-ee". Red River High School (RRHS) is a public high school located in Grand Forks, North Dakota, United States. The school was originally built in 1967 for grades 10-12, and was remodeled in 1995 to accommodate grades 9- 12.
