2020–21 Indiana Pacers Season
The 2020–21 Indiana Pacers season was Indiana's 54th season as a franchise and 45th season in the NBA. The Pacers replaced Nate McMillan, with former Toronto Raptors assistant coach Nate Bjorkgren. The Pacers missed the playoffs for the first time since 2015 following a loss to the Washington Wizards in the play-in tournament, ending a six-year playoff streak. Due to this, with multiple other factors, Bjorkgren was fired. NBA draft Entering the 2020 NBA draft, the Pacers only held one second-round pick. Their own first-round selection was traded as an incentive to acquire Malcolm Brogdon from the Milwaukee Bucks via sign and trade. Nate Bjorkgren
Nate Bjorkgren (; born June 20, 1975) is an American basketball coach, currently an assistant coach for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the University of South Dakota and Buena Vista University. He was previously an assistant coach for the Phoenix Suns from 2015 to 2017 and the Toronto Raptors from 2018 to 2020. He was the head coach of the Indiana Pacers for the 2020-2021 season. Early life and college career Bjorkgren was born in Storm Lake, Iowa on June 20, 1975. Bjorkgren led the Storm Lake High School Tornadoes Basketball team to a 17–4 season as a senior in 1993. When Bjorkgren started playing basketball in college, he first began by playing for South Dakota in 1994. Kaleb Canales
Victor Kaleb Canales (born July 7, 1978) is an American basketball coach who last served as assistant coach for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Early career Born in Laredo, Texas, Canales is a graduate of John B. Alexander High School. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in kinesiology. He later earned a master's degree in sports leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University. Canales began his coaching career as an assistant coach in 2001 at United High School of Laredo. The following year, Canales became an assistant coach at Martin High School also in Laredo. In 2003, Canales returned to UT Arlington to be an assistant coach. The 2020–21 Phoenix Suns season was their 53rd season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA), as well as their 28th season at the Phoenix Suns Arena (previously named the PHX Arena throughout most of November 2020), which is their first and only season under that name after Talking Stick Resort lost their naming rights to the arena by November 6, 2020. The 2020–21 Houston Rockets season was the 54th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA), their 50th anniversary season in the Houston area in Texas since the team franchise relocated from the San Diego area in California and their 4th season under owner Tilman Fertitta. Smoothie King Center (locally referred to as SKC) is a multi-purpose indoor arena in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is located in the city's Central Business District, adjacent to Caesars Superdome. The 2020–21 New Orleans Pelicans season was the 19th season of the New Orleans Pelicans franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Kehinde Babatunde Victor Oladipo (born May 4, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Indiana Hoosiers, where in the 2012-2013 season he was named the ''Sporting News'' Men's College Basketball Player of the Year, the Co-NABC Defensive Player of the Year, and a first-team All-American by the USBWA and ''Sporting News''.
