2020–21 Brentford F.C. Season
The 2020–21 Brentford F.C. season was the club's 131st season in existence and seventh consecutive season in the Championship, the second tier of English football. Brentford would also compete in the FA Cup and competed in the EFL Cup. The season covered the period from 1 September 2020 to 30 June 2021. Brentford secured promotion to the Premier League on 29 May 2021, following a 2–0 victory against Swansea City in the play-off final at Wembley, confirming the club's top flight status for the first time in 74 years. Brentford is a suburban town in West London, England and part of the London Borough of Hounslow. It lies at the confluence of the River Brent and the Thames, west of Charing Cross. Griffin Park
Griffin Park was a football ground in Brentford in the London Borough of Hounslow, England. It was the home ground of Brentford F.C. from its opening in September 1904 to August 2020. The ground is in a predominantly residential area and was known for being the only English league football ground to have a pub on each corner. The ground's name referred to the griffin featured in the logo of Fuller's Brewery, which at one point owned the orchard on which the stadium was built. Dominic Lewis Thompson (born 26 July 2000) is an English professional footballer who plays as a left-back for club Blackpool. Ellery Ronald Balcombe (born 15 October 1999) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for club St Mirren, on loan from club Brentford. Balcombe is a product of the Brentford academy. The Breiðablik men's football team is the men's football department of the Breiðablik multi-sport club. It currently plays in the Besta deild karla, the top-tier men's football league in Iceland; they finished 1st in 2022. The team is based in Kópavogur, a short distance south of Reykjavik. Patrik Sigurður Gunnarsson (born 15 November 2000) is an Icelandic professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Viking FK.
