2020–21 Boston College Eagles Men's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 Boston College Eagles men's basketball team represented Boston College during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Eagles, were led by seventh-year head coach Jim Christian, played their home games at the Conte Forum as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Christian was fired on February 15, 2021, after starting the season 3–13. Assistant Coach Scott Spinelli served as the interim head coach to finish the season. In a season limited due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Eagles finished the season 4–16, 2–11 in ACC play to finish in last place. They lost to Duke in the first round of the ACC tournament. On March 15, the school named College of Charleston head coach Earl Grant the new coach for the Eagles. Jim Christian
James Patrick Christian (born February 6, 1965), known professionally as Jim Christian, is an American college basketball coach (sport), coach who most recently served as the head coach of the Boston College Eagles men's basketball, Boston College men's basketball team. He previously held the same position at Kent State Golden Flashes men's basketball, Kent State, Texas Christian Horned Frogs men's basketball, TCU and Ohio Bobcats men's basketball, Ohio. On April 25, 2018, Christian signed a two-year contract extension to remain at Boston College through the 2021–22 season. He was relieved of his duties on February 15, 2021. Maryland Terrapins Men's Basketball
The Maryland Terrapins men's basketball team represents the University of Maryland in National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I competition. Maryland, a founding member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), left the ACC in 2014 to join the Big Ten Conference. Gary Williams, who coached the Terrapins from 1989 to 2011, led the program to its greatest success, including two consecutive Final Fours, which culminated in the 2002 NCAA National Championship. Shelton is a city in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 40,869 at the 2020 United States Census. The San Diego Toreros men's basketball team is a college basketball team that represents the University of San Diego in San Diego, California. The school's team currently competes in the West Coast Conference (WCC). The team played in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament in 2008. Nikola Popović ( sr-Cyrl, Никола Поповић; born 19 July 1997), also known as Nik Popovic, is a Serbian professional basketball player for Lietkabelis Panevėžys of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL).
