2020–21 Biathlon World Cup
The 2020–21 Biathlon World Cup (BWC) was a multi-race series over a season of biathlon, organised by the International Biathlon Union. The season started on 28 November 2020 in Kontiolahti, Finland and ended on 21 March 2021 in Östersund, Sweden. Starting from this season a blue bib will be introduced for the best biathlete under the age of 25. Calendar Below is the IBU World Cup calendar for the 2020–21 season. Calendar changes * On 28 September the rounds originally scheduled at Östersund, Sweden and Le Grand-Bornand, France were replaced by additional rounds at Kontiolahti, Finland and Hochfilzen, Austria respectively. * On 5 October it was announced that Oberhof, Germany, Oberhof will host two events, replacing Ruhpolding. * A round which was set to be held in Kuyangshu Nordic Center and Biathlon Center, Beijing as test event for the 2022 Winter Olympics was replaced on 23 November with another round at Nové Město na Moravě, Nové Město. * On 13 February the ...

Dorothea Wierer
Dorothea Wierer (, ; born 3 April 1990) is an Italian biathlete competing in the Biathlon World Cup. Together with Karin Oberhofer, Dominik Windisch and Lukas Hofer she won a bronze medal in the Mixed relay at the 2014 Winter Olympics, in Sochi, Russia. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea she won again the bronze medal in the Mixed relay with Lisa Vittozzi, Lukas Hofer and Dominik Windisch. At the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China, she won her first individual medal in the Sprint. She is the 2019 Mass Start World Champion and the 2020 Pursuit and Individual World Champion. Career Wierer has won her first Biathlon World Championships medal, placing third in the Women's relay together with Nicole Gontier, Michela Ponza and Karin Oberhofer at the Biathlon World Championships 2013 in Nové Město na Moravě, which was the first ever medal for Italian women at the Biathlon World Championships. Johannes Thingnes Bø
Johannes Thingnes Bø (born 16 May 1993) is a Norwegian biathlete. He is the younger brother of biathlete Tarjei Bø. At the Olympic Games in Beijing 2022, they became the first siblings to have individual medals in the same biathlon event. Thingnes Bø has won the Biathlon World Cup in 2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21, and 2022/2023. Thingnes Bø is described as being powerful on his skis and is the third most successful male biathlete of all time in the World Cup with 66 individual World Cup victories, including victories at the Winter Olympic Games. Career 2010–2012 Thingnes Bø won several international medals in 2010 and 2011. In 2012, he became a junior world champion for the third time. Östersund (; sma, Staare) is an urban area (city) in Jämtland in the middle of Sweden. It is the seat of Östersund Municipality and the capital of Jämtland County. Rasen-Antholz (; it, Rasun-Anterselva ) is a municipality in South Tyrol in northern Italy. Geography The municipal area stretches along the Antholz valley, a northern side valley of the larger Puster Valley. Nové Město na Moravě (; german: Neustadt in Mähren) is a town in Žďár nad Sázavou District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 9,800 inhabitants. Pokljuka
The Pokljuka Plateau () is a forested karst plateau at an elevation of around , located in the Julian Alps in northwestern Slovenia. The plateau is known for its forests, mountain pastures (Javornik, Lipanca, Uskovnica, Zajamniki, etc.), and winter sports facilities. It is also a common starting point for mountain hikers.
