2020–21 ACB Season
The 2020–21 ACB season, also known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, was the 38th season of the top Spanish professional basketball league, since its establishment in 1983. It started on 19 September 2020 with the first round of the regular season and ended on 15 June 2021 with the finals. It was the following season after the 2019–20 season was disrupted in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Consequently, there were not relegations to LEB Oro and the league was expanded to 19 teams. This season was contested by odd-numbered teams for the third time in its history, which means that each regular season round one team did not play any games. TD Systems Baskonia was the defending champion which got knocked out by Valencia Basket in the quarterfinals. Liga ACB
The Liga ACB, known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system. Administrated by the Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB), Liga ACB is contested by 18 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams relegated to the LEB Oro and replaced by the top team in that division plus the winner of the promotion playoffs. The competition was founded as the ACB Primera División on 1983 following the decision of clubs in the Liga Nacional, founded in 1957, to break away from the Spanish Basketball Federation and professionalize the league. The league's accumulated revenues were worth around €30 million in 2020, with Endesa and Movistar Plus+ contributing 50% of the revenues of the league. Basket Zaragoza 2002 S.A.D., more commonly referred to as Basket Zaragoza and as Casademont Zaragoza for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball club based in Zaragoza, Spain. The team plays in the Liga ACB. Their home arena is the Pabellón Príncipe Felipe. UCAM Universidad Católica de Murcia Club de Baloncesto, Sociedad Anónima Deportiva, S.A.D., more commonly referred to as UCAM Murcia, is a professional basketball team based in Murcia, Spain. Bàsquet Manresa, S.A.D., also known as Baxi Manresa for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball club based in Manresa, Spain. The team plays in the Liga ACB and Basketball Champions League. Bàsquet Club Andorra S.A., also known as MoraBanc Andorra for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball team that is based in Andorra la Vella, Andorra. Though based in Andorra, the club plays in the Spanish basketball league system. The team plays in the LEB Oro with home games played at the Poliesportiu d'Andorra. Club Baloncesto Ciudad de Valladolid, also known as Real Valladolid Baloncesto by sponsorship reasons, is a Spanish professional basketball team based in Valladolid, Castile and León.
