2020–21 3. Liga
The 2020–21 3. Liga was the 13th season of the 3. Liga. It began on 18 September 2020 and concluded on 22 May 2021. The season was originally scheduled to begin on 24 July 2020 and conclude on 15 May 2021, though this was delayed due to postponement of the previous season as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The fixtures were announced on 20 August 2020. Dynamo Dresden and Hansa Rostock got promoted directly, while FC Ingolstadt won the promotion play-offs. Originally, SV Meppen, Bayern Munich II, VfB Lübeck and SpVgg Unterhaching were relegated; however, KFC Uerdingen was unable to obtain a 3. Liga license for the 2021–22 season and was therefore relegated, sparing SV Meppen from relegation. FC Viktoria Köln
FC Viktoria Köln is a German association football club from the city of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia, that competes in the 3. Liga. History Founded in 1904 as ''FC Germania Kalk'' it is one of the oldest football clubs in the city. In 1909 ''Germania'' merged with ''FC Kalk'' to form ''SV Kalk 04'' and in 1911 this club was, in turn, united with ''Mülheimer FC'' to create ''VfR Mülheim-Kalk 04''. Chemnitzer Fußballclub e.V. is a German association football club based in Chemnitz, Saxony. The club competes in Regionalliga Nordost, the fourth tier of German football. The roots of the club go back to its establishment as Chemnitzer BC 1933, following the financial collapse of former Chemnitzer BC 1899. Würzburger Kickers
Würzburger Kickers is a German association football club playing in Würzburg, Bavaria. In pre-World War II football, the club competed briefly at the highest level in the Bezirksliga Bayern, and during the war, in the Gauliga Bayern. Post-war, it made a single appearance in professional football in the southern division of the 2. Bundesliga in 1977–78. After a long stint in amateur football, dropping as low as the seventh tier, the club began a recovery. 2019–20 Regionalliga
The 2019–20 Regionalliga was the twelfth season of the Regionalliga, the eighth under the new format, as the fourth tier of the German football league system. Format The same promotion format as in the previous season was used. According to the draw that took place on 27 April 2018, the Regionalliga Nord, Südwest, and Bayern champions were directly promoted to the 2020–21 3. Liga, while the champions of the Regionalliga Nordost and West played promotion play-offs to determine the fourth team to be promoted. Effects of the COVID-19 pandemic Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Germany, all scheduled match days in the five Regionalligas were initially suspended in March 2020. FSV Zwickau is a German association football club located in Zwickau, Saxony.
