2020 World Rally Championship-2
The 2020 FIA World Rally Championship-2 was the eighth season of the World Rally Championship-2, an auto racing championship for rally cars that was recognised by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile as the second-highest tier of international rallying. The category was open to cars entered by manufacturers and complying with R5 regulations. Kalle Rovanperä and Jonne Halttunen were the reigning drivers' and co-drivers' champions, but they did not defend their titles as they are contesting the World Rally Championship with Toyota. At the conclusion of the championship, Mads Østberg and Torstein Eriksen won the Drivers' and Co-Drivers' championships, while Toksport WRT won the teams' title. World Rally Championship-2
The FIA WRC2 (previously also known as World Rally Championship 2 and WRC 2), is a support championship of the World Rally Championship. The calendar consists of the same rallies and stages as the main class and crews usually compete immediately after. WRC2 is limited to production-based cars homologated under Group Rally2 (or previous R5) rules. There are separate specific championship titles awarded to Teams, Drivers and Co-Drivers (including titles for ''Challengers'' in 2023, previously for Juniors under 30 years old). The Citroën Total World Rally Team was the Citroën factory backed entry into the World Rally Championship, run by Citroën Racing. Rhys Yates (born in Chesterfield on 6 May 1992) is a British rally driver currently competing in WRC-2 for M-Sport Ford World Rally Team in a Ford Fiesta R5 Mk. II. Rally career Brought up in a motorsport environment, Rhys started in motorcycle racing and motocross before switching to rallying in 2013. Adrien Fourmaux (born 3 May 1995) is a French rally driver. Currently, He drives for M-Sport Ford in the WRC-RC1 category. The M-Sport Ford World Rally Team (formerly M-Sport World Rally Team, Qatar M-Sport World Rally Team and Stobart M-Sport Ford Rally Team) is the privately run World Rally Championship team of M-Sport, the firm run by Malcolm Wilson that was previously responsible for the operation of the former Ford World Rally Team. Jonas Andersson (born 1 January 1977) is a Swedish rally co-driver. Currently, he is the co-driver of Gus Greensmith. Rally career Jonas Andersson began his rally career in 2002, co-driving for Per-Gunnar Andersson. In the 2002 Rally Sweden, he made his WRC debut in a Renault Clio RS.
