2020 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship
The 2020 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was scheduled to be held from April 18 to 25 at the Kelowna Curling Club in Kelowna, Canada. On March 14, 2020, the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was scheduled to be held in conjunction with the 2020 World Senior Curling Championships. The event was supposed to score Olympic qualifying points for the participating nations. Upon cancellation, the qualifying process was left unclear. It was later announced that any country that was scheduled to compete in the event and did not qualify through the 2021 World Championships will take part in an expanded final Olympic Qualification tournament that will be held in December 2021. Joe Polo
Joseph Polo (born December 10, 1982) is an American curler who is best known for winning a bronze medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics and being the alternate on the gold-medal winning United States men's team at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Polo was raised in Floodwood, Minnesota before moving to Cass Lake. He learned to curl in nearby Bemidji at the age of 10 in the Bemidji Curling Club's Sunday Night Junior League. Tabitha Peterson
Tabitha Skelly Peterson (born March 6, 1989) is an American curler from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was a bronze medalist at the 2010 World Junior Championships and is a two-time women's national champion. She currently is skip of her own team, having traded positions with Nina Roth during the 2020 off-season. Career Junior As a junior, Peterson was a four-time state champion curler and won U.S. national junior championships in 2009 and 2010. Martin Rios (born 24 May 1981) is a Spanish-Swiss curler. He competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics in the mixed doubles tournament with partner Jenny Perret, winning a silver medal. Jenny Sarah Perret (born 23 December 1991) is a Swiss curler from Lyss. She and partner Martin Rios won the 2017 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. Rasmus Wranå
Rasmus Bele Åke Wranå (born 15 November 1994) is a Swedish curler from Karlstad. He currently plays second for the Swedish national team, skipped by Niklas Edin. With his teammates Edin, Oskar Eriksson, and Christoffer Sundgren, Wranå became part of the first and only team in history to win four consecutive gold medals at the World Men's Curling Championship (, , , ). Agnes Ellinor Knochenhauer (born 5 May 1989) is a Swedish Curling, curler who competed at 5 World Curling Championships and at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, winning a silver and a gold medal respectively. Jang Hye-ji (born August 7, 1997) is a South Korean curler. She competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics. She is also a national representative of mixed double events with Lee Ki-jeong, and is a member of the Gyeongbuk Athletic Association. Bruce Mouat (; born 27 August 1994 in Edinburgh) is a Scottish curler. He is an Olympic silver medallist, having skipped Great Britain to a second place finish in the men's team event at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Career Mouat had a very successful junior career, winning two Scottish junior championships in 2015 and 2016. He skipped the Scottish team at the 2015 World Junior Curling Championships, where he led his team of Duncan Menzies, Derrick Sloan and Angus Dowell to a bronze medal. Jennifer Carmichael "Jenn" Dodds (born 1 October 1991) is a Scottish curler. She currently plays mixed doubles with Bruce Mouat, representing Scotland and Great Britain. She is the 2022 Olympic champion in women's curling and the 2022 World champion in mixed doubles curling. Career Dodds played second for the Hannah Fleming junior rink that won a silver medal at the 2013 World Junior Curling Championships.
